As a former rescue me member I'm telling you joining the team will be the best decision you make in 2023 . I moved from level 2 to level 5 in my finals it helped pick me up big time and her study hacks got me good grades and a amazing APS . So please listen to this fine lady cause wow . When writing my finals I did pretty good all thanks to the cheat sheet , members live , study hacks and flash cards . I'm forever grateful miss angler . Wishing all 2023 matrics Goodluck

Hi I have a question. I’m confused when you explained at 2:30 how the cell at the start has 8 chromosomes then your dived into to cells. Each cell will get 4 and then you divide again. Shouldn’t then each cell get 2. I don’t understand how it’s still 4.
Even in the diagram the there are 4 chromosomes in the first picture and 8 chromatids. Then in but the end each cell has 2 chromosomes

Not sure how to explain this as well as miss angler, but in the diagram a different number is used. U start with 4 chromosomes, which is 2 homologous pairs. In meiosis I the pairs are pulled apart and youre left with 2 chromosomes in each of the two resulting cells. Those cells undergo meiosis II, which pulls the chromatids apart but each chromatid is technically still one chromosome, so when theyre pulled apart and you have your 4 resulting cells from meiosis II , each cell still has 2 chromosomes because the chromatids count as one chromosome. Hope that makes sense
