I’m excited for it as well!! I hope they deliver but am also staying sympathetic as they’re still just human. But excited for sure! And thank you so much!! I always appreciate your comments! 🫶
Amazing art as always. I just watched the pilot since everyone was hyping it. I think I like it, but it’s crazy that they already have a fandom in only 9 days ‘O-O (Also, the animation was great)
Yes, I agree! As a pilot, I think it’s phenomenal and I think sometimes people forget what “pilot” means since they’ve been so amazing as of late! And thank you so much!! 🫶
One big thing to note is that Pomni was suppose to help Ragatha. She was confronted with the choice to help her but got scared and ran. Then when she went back to do the right thing she saw the big creature crush the “barrel monkey” and that scared her even more. She saw the exit and took a moment before taking the exit before getting Ragatha help. Then when she gets pulled back she doesn’t even mention Ragatha. Ragatha has to crawl back and ask for help by herself and I do think they show them kinda leaning away from each other. Which adds this interesting rift between them. Cause as Ragatha seems to be attempting to be optimistic, and was the only one kind to Pomni when she arrived, Pomni didn’t show the same care. Pomni cares very much only for herself every time she was given a chance to be “good”. So I’m most excited to see how these decisions effect their future relationship and if Ragatha will resent Pomni, and if Pomni will have an arc later in the series where she chooses to help her friends over escaping. Showing her growth :D But this is of course speculation. Can’t wait to see more!
I definitely agree with this! I think it’s really interesting that she did, in fact, leave ragatha. Like, even if she DID end up trying to help, that doesn’t change that fact… Pomni is interesting to me so far because although she seems like an alright character… well, she seems to want to take care of herself first, which is honestly understandable as well… I agree with you in I’m curious to see where they take this in the future!
@@viperizer0 yeah. I don’t think she’s necessarily “selfish” or “a bad person” more so that given the choice. She’ll choose herself over anyone else :( And that’s sad because it definitely seems like Ragatha needs a friend and while Pomni can be probably a “substitute” being the newbie who Ragatha shows the ropes. However Ragatha seems to be on a thin rope herself as she quickly fell into existential dread just walking down the hall. I’m predicting that Ragatha is going to be the next to obstruct but Pomni will redeem herself and save her from fully fading. (Atleast that’s my hope as I’m polling for those girls.) However I’m extremely nervous as I’ve yet to watch murder drones (the other glitch show) and I’ve heard they are very keen on “depressing scenes” But we shall see :D Definitely think Pomni’s choice to not help Ragatha in the pilot is going to come back as a major point in the future. And I’m definitely interested to see who Pomni is as a character as we only got to see her react to things and not be proactive. So it will be interesting to see her full personality flesh out as the show continues :3
Oh also the thing with Cain being in control of “everything” he mentions that he doesn’t have control of “their mind” His quote. “The one thing I don’t have control over is your minds” They abstract when they lose their minds. So Cain can’t fix an abstraction because it’s caused due to the person’s mental state. Now as the theory goes for me is I don’t know if Cain is “the bad guy” as his goal definitely seems to be to keep them all from abstracting. This doesn’t tell us why he doesn’t want them to abstract. Weather it’s for good or bad purposes. But he’s noticeably discomforted every time Pomni asks about “a way out” and he creates activities to keep their minds busy. Like for example the Zoinks creature was only there to act like a “show” When Jax insults the creature. The creature responds “Well you’re still watching it” And when Kinger gets the one person’s head out Kinger asks something like “we’re you forced to watch a show” The entire theme of it being a “show” is predominant throughout. Jax- “We’ll have to redo this whole intro” Cain being a “Ring Leader” Etc etc. So I’m definitely curious about what is happening as I have no theory as to why. Just pointing out what I’ve noticed.
Caine is interesting to me as well. Like I said, I don’t WANT him to be bad, but we don’t have too much to go off of right now. Personally? I don’t think he’s going to be the antagonist of this series… and yeah, you’re right there! Thanks for pointing out the controlling their minds part because it sort of slipped mine. I’m curious to see where they take Caine because I think he can be an interesting character if they don’t simply make him the big bad.
@@viperizer0 My Theory is that Cain probably is the “good and bad” That he’s not purposefully keeping them there but he is the cause of whatever transported them there. Like maybe he designed the game or show they are trapped in as Pomni said she put on a VR headset and it shows the headset when she’s running through the exit doors. So maybe Cain is a mixture of the Creator of this world but mixed with the creation. (Similar to GLADOS from portal) As cane seems to be conscious but also has the “blue screen computer effect happen” he reads off a “parental guidance” thing like he’s both the program and “himself”. Plus he seems to have a very interesting relationship with bubble. As bubble annoys him twice were he pops bubble and the very funny “YOU PARASITE” Line. Mixed with bubble licking the vomit and him being like “why are you like this” and he’s even distracted for a minute watching bubble. Either it’s completely comedic or he does fear something about bubble. So it wouldn’t surprise me if bubble ends up being a major “bad guy” in the future and Cain is torn between pleasing bubble and keeping everyone happy.
The pilot is real good but I think they're overhyping it.. Also the people who don't want the fandom to be like the "Welcome home" fandom are just dumb, because for all I know, the undertale fandom is very much worse than both ( Which is also imo a result of the hype.. )
I agree in a sense. I enjoyed it, don’t get me wrong! But I can understand where people would be put off by this much attention on something. I do believe it deserves credit where credit’s due, though because for a pilot? Phenomenal. I think with so many amazing pilots these days, it’s easy to forget what the premise of a pilot is! But yes, Undertale has a… yikes fandom at times.
So, I personally think that this has a lot of potential and I really hope it fulfills it. Also, glad to see that the quality is as good as ever!
