There's something uniquely special about Colin's performance of this song. It was truly sweet and very sentimental which is just Colin Firth in a nutshell really :) He was clearly out of his comfort zone having to sing solo. But he did a surprisingly excellent job imo. I actually think his fear and uncertainty, made his performance even more endearing. No matter what role Colin Firth takes on, he always manages to shine in absolutely everything he does :)

I remember our last summer! Mostly with regret. We used to spend every summer with two days at Cedar Point, flopping overnight at nearby cheap motels. I remember beating him at pinball and winning prizes, he probably remembered me as less likely to be adventurous, resisting his attempts to make out in public rides! (we probably shocked the employees monitoring the Pirate Ride!) But infidelity was the final straw. At first I thought he'd grow out of it, and when he didn't, I followed suit. Eventually, I decided that we didn't really have a solid future, so I tried one last summer at Cedar Point to try to get it all back together. It didn't happen. On the way home, I popped in a breakup cassette I'd prepared, starting with "It's My Turn" by Diana Ross. He got it right away, asked if it was a breakup tape, and I said yes. I tried to keep it cordial afterwards for a while, but he kept trying to push buttons to prove something. Eventually I had to avoid the places we used to go, etc. I don't miss our relationship, but I do miss him! But in any case, It's Too Late Now!
