Bedil Dehlvi is considered the greatest Persian poet from South Asia, second only to Amir Khusrau maybe. This is a fine example of the Indian School of Persian Poetry. Long live Indo-Persian brotherhood 🇮🇳🇮🇷🇦🇫 There are several such hidden gems of Persian literature in India. How sad that today neither Iranians nor Indians care much about them.
Both were the descendants of Khorasanis -- Bedil's ancestors were from Badakhshan and Amir Khusrau's ancestors were from Balkh -- both in present day Afghanistan.
@@bactrian1442 And Afghanistan was part of Hindostan. So stop trying to make Afghanistan look special. Later Afghanistan was part of Old Iran. All old Persian Indian poets had their roots in the old Persian world and there is no surprise about that. It's just how the migration pattern was at the time. Even today India is an incredibly unique land with so many different tribes, regions, and histories; glued together under one country.

If you like to go in depth you’re welcome to the conversation. Afghans and Uzbeks literally made the Hindustan as you know today. And a little tip for people who wants to link everywhere they see somebody’s work in Persian to Iran. The above-mentioned empires made the Farsi (Dari) as is today. Otherwise, you would have spoken Arabic like the rest of your brothers and sisters in Iraq and other parts of the middle east.

bedil has ghazals terkeb band ,terjeh band rubayat and others i have all of his books not an easy books but a lot of thinking to find the meanings we call him abulmani he is most red and respected in Afghanistan
