You missed one new point of articulation - the neck. Not only does the head slide back and forth on the neck to move it up and down, the entire neck can also swivel forward and back so the jaw rests on the chest. We can finally replicate the classic full head-down Alien pose!
@@galindestruction I didn't notice it until this review, actually. I was just looking closely at the neck and noticed a little movement. Took a bit of (gentle!) pushing to get it to move. Very pleasantly surprised. I hope they revisit Big Chap and add this.
Im very happy that this back thingy returned. Xenomorph without it felt weird. But still, I wish they aded those cables running from the back of the jawline to the back.
the best thing about the Xenomorph´s seen in Alien Romulus is that they actually look more like the original one from 1979 which is awesome and very accurate! This video is great!
I just got mine today, and it also have problems in the elbow joints, How did you fix it. Im scared that my figure breakes from there. Btw Excellent review!
@@emilianogonzalez705 I ended up using using a hair dryer to soften the joints. Ended up doing a solid job. Hopefully it works. Also thanks for the feedback on the review!
The tail break eventually? I had 4 in a row break at that extreme bend from the packaging. It seems to have a weak aluminum wire instead of the other wires from previous aliens
@@ADNZ5442 This figure will be worth buying 3. It's a perfect Xenomorph Army building figure. I've been thinking about getting one more to display with the normal dome. Yeah I think it's been a while since Neca has legit released the Ripley/Newt set. Lots of those older figures you gotta be careful with buying a fake bootleg figure. Especially on eBay.
@galindestruction yea it has the really big eye sockets that giger had in his early ultra morph concepts. It was actually what sold the design for me was that detail. It's almost like what you would get if a xenomorph came from a grey alien the way their sized and shaped
@@rogangamer I really enjoyed how it takes the series back to the suspense/horror element. Romulus had me on the edge of my seat and the ending was unsettling.
I respectfully disagree. I feel immensely disappointed in the film. I love the practical effects and set design, but the story/characters (other than Andy) felt very shallow. It's not a horrible movie by any means, but it feels more lackluster than Alien or Aliens.
@@matthewparker1655 Aliens has many problems for me. The opening is slow, we get cartoon character marines. Most of Aliens sets and ships are second rate Terminator props.
Lol no. Too many stupid decisions by the characters and and plot convienances. The characters were weak as hell compared to Aliens too, who cared about any of those kids?
I can't stand the Covenant figures. They used the suit designs which were NEVER used in the film. Completely CGI. And NECA decided to use the suit designs. What idiots. And it's not a tongue. It's inner jaws.
@@stevenanderson3936 I remember hearing years ago Neca wasn't allowed to work from the CGI files but was allowed to work from the suits before the CGI was added. I prefer the suit design Neomorph but the Covenant Protomorph just was uninteresting to me (both the suit and final design) I still want a movie accurate Covenant figure regardless.

Thanks for pointing this out. Not sure how over looked that point of articulation. Yes it is great that we can replicate that pose, agreed!

Now that’s a cool xenomorph

@@viktorPersson-n5d agreed! Much closer to the original design with a new twist
Thanks for the feedback on the video btw!
This one’s doin NUMBERS king
If this is released in 1/6 and Neca pricing, Hottoys will be salty, but it won't happen 😂 but I'm hoping this one also in 1/4 and Feral Predator
They definitely can make it happen

@@ericmiller3708 yeah I noticed that. Kind of unfortunate. It's gonna be a bit I feel before Neca restocks it on their website.

Warm it up
Alien Covenant’s Praetomorph has a human skull under the dome.

My tail has been alright so far. Ive been hearing of cases of fragile tails from others, so Im starting to get skeptic of bending mine too much
Thinking about just waiting to get 3 of these with my Aliens Queen for toy photography. Brought the Save Newt NECA but it was a fake 😞
