I am willing to move to the Netherlands, but I don't know anyone and have never been there before. I would like to chat with you in private if it is possible!

This guy is a legend, I think part of why he is blowing up is that we Dutch are secretly quite patriotic. We don't really show it, but we love seeing other people talking about The Netherlands, especially people like him complimenting us and taking an interest in our culture

Leuke video weer.

"Nu breekt mijn klomp" makes sense if you realise how hard it is to break a klomp. They're carved from a single piece of wood, so they're very strong. Having your klomp break is indeed an unexpected thing.
Very valid points on the negative sides off the Netherlands, as a Dutchie.
    1. The overly structured social life is a little too much for many Dutch people, but it is just so engrained in our culture. People aren't very spontaneous like many other cultures can be.
    2. The taxes are stupid, especially as we're getting less and less for it. It is still better than a lot of other countries, but our taxes are way higher.
    3. The weather is the absolute worst. We hate it as well but what are you going to do about it. It is kind of like Israel being too hot. You learn how to live with it. To feel less depressed in winter, drink milk regularly (unless you're lactose intolerant). It contains Vitamine D, which you also get from the sun but not enough in the short, grey winters. This is one of the reasons dairy is so important in the rainy, cold, dark north western Europe. Obviously, go outside regularly, but it might not be enough. Not a cure all, but it helps.

    • @strikeformatik
      @strikeformatik 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

Actually.. its not that bad. At 70k you get a 5k deductable zelfstandigen aftrek) , and another 9k deductable (winstvrijstelling) leaving 55K taxable. Then you get additional discounts on tax (algemene heffingskorting amd arbeidskorting) reducing total tax further. Then combine it with ZVW which amounts to about 28% tax on a total of 70K leaving you with about 50K. It is very similar to general US tax especially if you factor in private medical insurance.

Well...... they will admit it, but not voluntarily. And, btw, not everyone in the Netherlands likes the planning ahead. There are Dutchies that prefer spontaneous action over planning ahead. Watching this after the elections kinda gives a bitter taste. Bitching over housing - even if Jack is right. Sorry mate we are kinda full at the moment, it is just a small country! I am not happy with the results of PVV but they have a reason; *housing* (connected also to climate), and *immigrants/migrants* (including Expads) this/these are a big part of that. Housing issues for the born and raised Dutch people, the reversing of the social aspects of our allemange (all men) culture.
(Which in a way is a catch 22 also created by those voting for the right all the time - but that is preaching towards a choir. VVD is a big part of creating the problems and still is number 3 in the elections. The majority of votes have spoken! But we are very divided with GL/PvdA being in second place, at least my voting was part of this taking place as well.)
If you give us the respect by at least trying to speak the basics in Dutch,
we will make the learning of Dutch harder for you by speaking English with you.
Sounds like a good deal for people that are called geluk zoekers.
Jack Shore can be glad he is "white" and looks European, I am shocked how the PVV was the biggest in almost the entire Netherlands, with a few exceptions of bigger cities that mostly hold these became Dutch groups that are getting the evil eye.
*How does that make the both of you feel?*
The Dutch Trump won with the message the Dutch "natives" should come first, because many have been falling between the cracks of the system. Kindertoeslag affaire is just one of them. This has been in the making also for a very long time....
I remember Wilders being at the Char show on t.v. long time ago, pre 9/11, and her making a reference to what later would be 9/11, and his rise to political power. It was a long road for him, but he "finally" made it as the biggest party.
So with political long term planning - all this shit we live in has been created and planned by public management aka the government.
    13 years of VVD, but also from before that;
    Take DuPont and PFAS
    Take Tata Steel
    Take Chemelot
Take Schiphol; and here finally they had to down size also for climate, but now US (& EU) are blocking that - because of treaties.
But the farmers have to go and down size since we are a trade country with some intellectual influences behind scenes.
From cassette tapes to DVD and the ASML chip market. All also very important for intelligence operations through out history.
One hand scratching the other but the citizens are not being scratched.
And you find it so great - Dutch saying it once was even better! A short period of time.
Housing has always been a way to control/manipulate the public, hand in hand with migrants and migrant workers.
And these have been used over and over, hand in hand with our social take care of each other attitude.
But Dutch culture is changing (it has always been changing but in different ways) fast in ways the common people don't like.
Take the length it took with the issue of Black Pete, and still .... it is not over.
1/2 of the Dutch citizens are proud of our Golden Age and colonization is part of that, the VOC mentaliteit as Balkenende put it.
Or in that same era; "Recht door zee" Rita Verdonk, and Dutch Pride. "Ik ben niet links, ik ben niet rechts, ik ben recht door zee."
Just without foreigners there are internal divisions and strives. I mean I'm from Limburg, stereotypical in internal Dutch division I am "stupid" because; Belgians are stupid. BELG = Ben Eerst Limburger Geweest. Things like these. Just as every other country has them. Things you are probably mostly unaware about. Things tied in with our history, our cultures and sub-cultures, etc.
Similar as trying to explain the moon landing or 9/11, if you were there at that time you understand the "hype"/issue/impacts but life went on, being managed to continue on. The struggles and complex history is not preceived with the naked eyes that easily.
Also many things that once existed don't exist in the same way anymore. Templar church that once was underneath the Church in Maasticht center and a hidden secret for most made way for parking. The church preferred it that way, and for the city it made more money. Things like that.
The history of that was already obscure and mostly forgotten.
Power and ruling classes & capitalistic exploitations
Bigger pictures on the global scale. This is not just happening in the Netherlands, and US/social media has a lot to do with that.
Russia and Ukraine has multiple motivations putting the Siberian males in the meat grinder is one of them. Siberia is the land with potentials now the climate is changing, it is full of resources. And the history between Russia and Siberia is complex.
Also Russia, European big powers and US have been at odds with each other through out human history. Reasons, megalomaniacs that want to have the biggest (empire), and rule the world/hold it in their hands and it still be too little.
Same with the Israeli Palestine conflict.
Which comes closer to home with Jack the privileged cute; young dumb and full of cum, stereotypical dreamer in their 20's. [Veronica, je ben wild en je jongt wat (Je bent jong en je wilt wat).]
Sorry if this gets taken as rude, I feel like these are truths that also need to be spoken out loud.

Everything planned in the Netherlands? ...... Sorry, I'm born and living still, now 67 years. What part of the Netherlands you lived, at the nerds? You know the ones who can live of 32 hours work ,they say it's working... You know, I worked in the transport /distribution section -in four days 55 hours-.Yes, 48 hours driving time, as it set in the European law,.... driving time is not working time. In my free time never have, ore has, trouble to go out and so on. The only ones who have a strict agenda, are the ones who don't care, the nerd's. I'll think a worldwide problem.
