Hello Bret awesome finds man I finally found a copy of Cure Paris at Rolling Stones in Norridge it sounds amazing glad to add to my Cure collection along with The Show. I’m still after that ‘72 Bowie killer track listing . I’ve been down for the count for some months prior with some major home piping repairs which I’m 80% done i definitely have some more videos in the tank have a wonderful week Bret .
Ah, Rolling Stones - I've been there several times over the years. :) Sorry to hear about the home repairs! We've had our share. Best of luck on the piping, Lovell! Take care man - looking forward to some videos in the future.
Great picks, Bret. I recently got into Kacey Musgraves, and she's fantastic. I love her voice. I still haven't got those two live Cure albums, but I certainly will, as I've been a huge fan forever. How are you linking Yummy? I have to be honest. I haven't fully connected with it. I remember your first James discography ranking and it was great, so I'll be looking forward to the new one. Hopefully, it'll be soon. Abrazo, Mau
Hello there! Glad to hear you've gotten into Kacey Musgraves! I do like the new James record, but even after several plays I feel like I still need some more time with it. I have the ranking on my to-do list and hope to get that filmed here soon. And let me know if you'd like to make a guest appearance in an upcoming ranking video! - Bret
Hey Bret. Nice haul. I picked up Yummy by James just yesterday. Still have to give it a listen. Alia got us tickets to see Tim Booth & Co. with Johnny Marr later in fall. Very excited about that. Also saw Ride play last Tuesday. They sounded fantastic! The only other release out of these I have is Paris which I think actually sounds phenomenal on this RSD reissue. I’ve always preferred Show to Paris but in all honesty after listening to it on vinyl for about 3 weeks straight now. I think Paris might just be The cure’s best live compilation. Opening with shake dog shake and closer Hot Hot Hot work fine in the running order in my opinion. I did take me a few listens to get the continuity but now I can’t hear it without those two songs. Radical Optimism by Dua Lipa is all the rage with the girls in my household. Love the vibe on that. I do like it a lot but I like future nostalgia more. (That was one of the bright hi lights during the lockdowns). So it will always hold a special place in my heart. I am curious about carpenter’s Noir. Also the James album ranking part Deux will be a treat. Can’t wait! Stay Cool 🙂
Hey Yas! Yeah, Future Nostalgia is pretty unbeatable. Great to hear you picked up Paris as well. So cool that both live albums are now available on vinyl. Doesn't look like the James / Marr tour is rolling through here, unfortunately. Curious to hear what you think of Yummy once you've had some listens. James (Re) Ranking will be in the works. :) Thanks man.
The Cure's "Paris" 2 LP Reissue ist fantastic. The sound on the vinyl and Robert's Voice: Sublime! 👌
Indeed.
Great news about the first 4 Church records FINALLY getting a reissue!
Definitely. And hopefully someday soon we'll get reissues of everything after Sometime Anywhere through Untitled #23!

I bought the new pressing of Paris, of course! Great records in this one 👍
Thanks Brian!
Yummy has grown on me since first listen saw them live last night and new songs sounded great. I think the album could be my fav of year so far.
Really great to see "Johnny Yen" and "Jam J" in the set!
In 72 Bowie played SF before the Santa Monica Civic concert. Hardly anyone was there. I don’t think Bowie returned until 1976.
You were at the SF72 show?
