Thanks! i'll be picking up a couple of batteries and battery charger for my upcoming trip to Japan. I'm keeping mine simple and just rocking the thumb grib from JJC and a lens cover. I'm seriously considering the flash. Can you do a review on it?
Thanks for the rundown! I love my Peak Design Micro Clutch instead of the JJC thumb grip. It adds a little size and weight (I barely notice) but it's helluv secure and comfortable.
Although I don't have a Ricoh, I enjoyed the video to see how others adapt to their particular cameras. You never know when this could come in handy.................😀
New Ricoh user here, really wish there was a better filter system for these little beasts. I don’t like the form factor of the adaptor ring for filters, it ruins the pocketable aspect. On the flip side, there is that stick on filter but helps with dust but won’t work with other effect filters. I was thinking about a stick on magnet with filter system but making this would be such a niche project, not like I have the funds for anyways.
I've been inspired by you and your photos since day one (quite some time now!) . Congratulation for your journey... thought on getting a Ricoh gr a few times mainly for "pocketability ", but I always find my self don't wanting to compromise shooting low angle shoots without seeing what I'm doing...or I might occasionally need a flash, or if it's too bright outside I'll need a view Finder , either optical or electronic...or both... If having a gr III x with all that accessories... you're secretly in love with the x100v . All in one package ready to go... Still rocking the 16mm 1.4 with your photos carved on the back of my mind! Hopping for you to put down that red light saber... just let go... 😅😅😅😅😅😅
If you’re fan of me, you know my reasons for choosing specific gear. You’re more than welcome to use whatever camera you’d like, even if I don’t use the same. And I’m welcome to use my preferences without needing to worry about what others use. I have an own the x100vi and use it for specific reasons. I don’t use it for daily carry though, it’s just not what I prefer. And for what it’s worth - I’m a fan of Sith more than Jedi.
For some reason, whenever my batteries are low or about dead, I plug and charged them; and they instantly say it’s charged fully or battery indicator is always green.
I've been shooting a griii for years (and previously a GRD and GRDiv), but on my big cameras, I bounce between 28mm and 40mm. I've been internally debating getting a iiix to run alongside by iii, but I think I'm just a 28mm guy when it comes to compact cameras. How do you find the process of switching between the iii and iiix while out and about?
@@Reggiebphoto how do you manage 2 GR cameras when you're out and about? I have always been tempted by getting a iiix to go with my iii but I'm not sure if it would be cumbersome switching between them. I'd love to learn more about the situations where you use both of the GRs when you're dual welding.
Waist level finder looked really interesting, but that price-oof. Great video nonetheless! I'll always be a fan of these types of videos just to get glimpse of how different other people's needs are. Only photo gear I bring with me when I'm out with the family is the GR3 itself and maaaaybe an extra battery if we're not bringing our powerbank and cables already.
If I’m shooting for other than very short periods I add a Thumb Stay and wooden grip which makes it very comfortable and easy to use one handed
I'm a GRIII and GRIIIx user and I love the JJC thumb grip
nice! i haven't tried the thumb grip yet.

Thumb grip and a metal lens cap are part of my GRIII use ...lens cap in particular I would not be without.

Have you tried the reflex mini flash?
@@henrimartelmusic I have not. The fixed power is a non starter for me. Plus it’s not very powerful.
@@Reggiebphotoah! Thank you! I was considering it because of its size but the lack of power makes me reconsider.

Nice vid man ! I never shot a Ricoh before...I think now might be the time.
Great video. Thanks for sharing. Where did you buy the AE86 and Ricoh Pins on your camera bag?
The 86 pin is from leen customs
@ thank you for sharing!
Loving the ae86 pin on the bag ;)
Hell yeah
Hello! What would be the size of the hot shoe cover of Mightkllrs for a GRIIIx? Thank you :)
I'm not sure hmm

Dear,
based on your experience with the Ricoh GR III camera, is it ok to stick the filter on the lens? Can you recommend that to me?
Im getting a camera for my birthday. First time getting one, should I buy the Fujifilm X100VI or the Ricoh GRIIIX?

Can you do a video dedicated to the mini Godox flash? There’s nothing on youtube, thanks.
that waist level viewfinder 🔥
It’s pretty fun
Where are the links to these products at Reggie?
In the video description
@Reggiebphoto Reggie does that waist view finder work on the GR III ?
Cool pin collections, where did you get ricoh gr pin?
I got it from Ricoh. Unfortunately I don’t thinks it’s available to buy
I just screamed at home when I saw the price of the Waist Level Finder
Lol
Love the vid! Where’s the Pochita pin from? ❤
Got it from a comic convention!

The light stays on (green) until they are done charging 🤣

What's one Ricoh accessory you can't live without?
A battery =)
My thumbgrip from jjc
Wrist strap
I found the Canon Deluxe Leather case PSC-5300. It fits the GR3 like a glove. Keep it on your belt rather than your dusty pocket.
Ooh thanks for the tip! The strap that comes with it looks nice too.
@@JosephBayotwhere do you find it in stock?
You may have to hunt. I got mine at Roberts Camera in Indianapolis.
