If you wouldn't mind, please could you make a video where you actually go through the process of creating these paragraphs and how much detail you would include in all of them? Thank you so much, you are an absolute lifesaver
Thank you so much Miss Estruch! This video is a lifesaver! Had no clue how to link topics to the whole of the spec before! I love your content it is so so useful! Thank you!
@@imma_eatjinproteins are made up from amino acids and amino acids are made up of an amine group, a carboxylate acid group, a hydrogen and a a variable R group . So it might as well have been on proteins :)
Could I write about a genetic mutation that affects the membrane function (for the membrane essay title) as an out of spec point or is that stretching it?
provide the purpose of the function. for example, in chemiosmosis in respiration it is vital that membranes are involved to allow the formation of ATP from the process to provide energy for metabolic reactions. or for a proteins question it is vital that the membrane bound channel proteins are present to allow the diffusion of these ions across the membrane so that ATP can later be synthesised by the subsequent movement of ions through ATP synthase. hope that helps
Hi ms do you have a video or document about all the parts/components to a level biology and the papers. I don’t mean content I mean Things like 10% math questions , the essay , practical questions , suggest questions, other question types etc . I know it’s on the spec but the info is confusing on there
@@STJB2005 thankyou, i found 1 called primary mitochondrial myopathy, which is caused by a mutation and it affects the proteins involved in oxidative phosphorylation, i think i could probably write in decent enough detail about it, if a title that could include respiration or muscles in that way came up
I hope that comes upp I was just researching a03 on muscle contrsctions and the importanve of atp. If it does come up u can use the a03 revision I did on this When your muscles arnt provided with atp because there is none available the muscles will basically become stiff tense and will continue to contract and this usually only happens after a person dies know as rigor mortis, (Topic for atp in the skeletal muscled:)

watching your cat enjoy licking its arse while you talked me through these points was very relaxing and made me confident about tomorrow. thanks cat.
Im doing last minute revision now too! Good luck tomorrow!
🤣🤣🤣🙈 yeah that was unfortunate
How did your exam go, what grade did you get?
@@adailyfact D, im gassed!!!!!!!
I really hope it asks for importance of proteins in biology as it hasn’t come up before
yeah that's a nice one!
2017 did “importance of nitrogen-containing substances”
@@marcelloberry6829 that is different to importance of proteins my guy

Hey Miss Estruch at 2:17 would Chemiosmosis in Photosynthesis and Chemiosmosis in respiration be in two separate paragraphs ✌️??Luv ur content xx
Hey, no you would only be able to do one or the other as the theory would be too similar. So glad you like my content!
How did your exam go? What grade did you get?
wow, who knew that all these are connected. Thank you Miss Estruch. I am forever grateful
Have you got any predictions that are free?
You're so welcome! Yes so many links. No predictions, but using this strategy should help
@@MissEstruchBiology thank you
does a water potential gradient count as a concentration gradient?
i'm pretty sure it does?
yeah cos its concentration of water
Could I write about a genetic mutation that affects the membrane function (for the membrane essay title) as an out of spec point or is that stretching it?
This is so helpful, thank you. Do you think aqa repeat essay topics?
You're welcome! Yes, they have repeated some very similar essay titles before.
So for these paragraphs in relation to proteins, would you use the same ao1 and then just a different ao2?
You would have to slightly change the focus of your AO1 so that it was linking to the exact theme of the question
How do you expand on WHY it’s important, that’s what i struggle with 😢

hey I don't I'm afraid. but something I could look into
@@MissEstruchBiology please do my school would greatly appreciate this
would chemiosmosis link to disease? like mitochondrial diseases and things like that
atp production will be reduced so yh I think maybe its a stretch, not too much write about imo
in theory yes, but wouldnt risk it unless you can do research and provide solid evidence for it

What are the best topics to write about for a title that states the importance of ATP?
Chemiosmosis, anaphase, protein synthesis, active transport e.g of sucrose from source to sink etc
Muscle contraction, Calvin cycle(photosynthesis) , glycolysis(respiration) , translation(protein synthesis) , active transport
muscle contraction and nerve impulses are 2 big ones
