Milei just let the social issues blow up, but not taking the economy further down. It is really harsh in the first few years, but maybe can bring results in the long term. Most Argentinians agree that he can't make any worse than it has already been done.

Peronists caused this by spending far more than the country can afford, such as offering subsidies for things like transportation. It took years to get this bad and will take time to improve, but it won't improve if Argentina returns to Peronism.

Things are likely tonget worse before they get better. Currently Milei's aoproval rating sits at 44 percent with just over 55 percent disapproving. If things don't get better, and it will be worse before it gets better, he'll likely get voted out after 1 term.
