Its like coins, or kiddie pools or bowls. Tall cylinder (pencil, straw, lever) is a Tool so Friend shaped. Medium cylinder is people shaped. It's Evil. I imagine myself stuck in a cylindrical coffin. You missed a couple. Heart, star, diamond, parallelogram, rhombus, half-circle, and trapezoid. Also considering that you had 2D and 3D shapes, why not add some 4D shapes, like the hypercube/tesseract and the hypersphere; as well as the kinda underrated 1D shape, the line. @@carrott36 you seem to not understand, they are insulting the hexagon, as they should be. hexagons are only good for tiling, as they cannot fold around a vertex. that’s why they can only be used for tilings and the mutetrahedron and muoctahedron no-one knows about. those are, to my knowledge, the only things the hexagons can do by itself. triangles can make 3 of the 5 Platonic solids, and tiling at that. plus, snubification exists, using entirely triangles for extension. in reality, the hexagons cannot compete with the triangle.

If anybody wants a shape definition, this is kind of how I would explain it. A "shape" is the result of the division of space for the sake of simplicity into two parts: a finite part, AKA the area of the shape, and the infinite part, AKA the outside.
Not exactly. on a 2D plane a line segment is a shape, but has no inside. And if you don’t agree with that, then what about star polygons? To say they divide space into two parts would be inaccurate. And while it is beyond the scope of this video, there are several shapes in 3D which don’t fit this definition. Every single polyhedron with skew faces doesn’t fit this definition (among other things) and higher dimentional Klein bottles break it too. This doesn’t work in the 1st or 0th dmiensions either because shapes can’t have an inside there. tl;dr your definition sucks in every dimension

I love how in Japan, they didn't want to complicate themselves with making unique names for each shape so every name is just "Number of corners + the word for corner" Example: 三 (three) + 角 (corner) = 三角 (sankaku) meaning "Triangle" Only expectation is circle which is 丸 (maru) but 零角 (reikaku) would be pretty tight (zero+corner)

What about the shape bird from Egypt? I'd say it's C tier. The shape itself isn't bad, but it makes me think of feathers, which are the thing that terrify me most. I love circles, ovals, spheres, cones, cylinders, and general round shapes. All S tier. Plus I traffic cone orange is my favorite color, so bonus point there. I am also really obsessed with step pyramids. Step pyramid shape is S tier. Regular pyramid shape is B tier. Nothing wrong with it. I like it, but it's a bit of a disappointment.

I once had a nightmare about a black prism that glowed purple and floated arround in a psychedelic multicolored background and like, the prism was twisting itself weirdly in a very bizarre way. Like, weird as fuck. Also, throughout the entire dream, I could feel my eyes moving arround my closed eyellids and my body moving arround but I couldn't fucking wake up. Even humans have hexagons in the back of their eye to let in light and the reason why it is a hexagon is because it uses the least amount of material while letting in the most amount of light. In summary hexagons are found to be the most useful at the atomic level, in small objects, in nature, man made objects, in mathematical plains, in geometry, and even in space like on saturn’s hexagonal North Pole. What about the shape bird from Egypt? I'd say it's C tier. The shape itself isn't bad, but it makes me think of feathers, which are the thing that terrify me most. I love circles, ovals, spheres, cones, cylinders, and general round shapes. All S tier. Plus I traffic cone orange is my favorite color, so bonus point there. I am also really obsessed with step pyramids. Step pyramid shape is S tier. Regular pyramid shape is B tier. Nothing wrong with it. I like it, but it's a bit of a disappointment.
I would put the pentagon in A or S tier because it has the golden ratio. It’s by definition the most aesthetically pleasing shape.

I once had a nightmare about a black prism that glowed purple and floated arround in a psychedelic multicolored background and like, the prism was twisting itself weirdly in a very bizarre way. Like, weird as fuck. Also, throughout the entire dream, I could feel my eyes moving arround my closed eyellids and my body moving arround but I couldn't fucking wake up. For some reason, that dream caused me great distress and when I woke up I almost puked. Some cosmic horror shit feeling. Also, when I did wake up, I felt in every fiver of my being that the weird cosmic horror prism was the way Death chose to present itself to me in a dream.

In basalt deltas the rocks form a hexagonal shape and in your eyes there are hexagonal tubes which let in light. Plus Saturn big rounded head knows what I’m talking about, it has a hexagon on it.

Also they are one of the only shapes that can tile with no gaps and if you really wanted to you could make a triangle out of hexagons(even though you wouldn’t want to ruin all of those hexagons). Almost every shape wants to be like hexagons since they are the best polygon. Plus hexagons are found on an molecular level. Most molecules form a hexagonal bond since it is the strongest bond in nature. This is because when hexagons are tiled together they form 120 degrees on each side meaning when one hexagon is applied with force the other two equally distribute the force. Speaking about hexagons, graphite(which is the strongest atomic bond in the universe) is made out of, you guessed it, hexagons. Even humans have hexagons in the back of their eye to let in light and the reason why it is a hexagon is because it uses the least amount of material while letting in the most amount of light. In summary hexagons are found to be the most useful at the atomic level, in small objects, in nature, man made objects, in mathematical plains, in geometry, and even in space like on saturn’s hexagonal North Pole.
