Another interesting fact: Camouflaj recently boasted that they consulted on the psychology of their game characters with psychiatrist Dr. H. Eric Bender, who has analyzed scenes relating to the mental health of characters in popular films and TV shows, including Batman's most popular villains. Camouflaj even honored him in-game, as we can find his book "The Psychology of Heroes and Villains" in Leslie Thompkins' office :P
Here's a relatively obscure Easter Egg. When returning to solitary, you can knock on Black Mask's cell and he mentions getting revenge on you with a power drill. This references the War Games comic event from 2004 where he tortured Stephanie Brown with a power drill after he caught her. She originally died from this but it got retconned.
Various Easter Egg stuff that I wanna point out too. SPOILERS: -The 'identity board' seems to be a reference to The Dark Knight, which had a nearly-identical joke early on -Ben Turner, aka Bronze Tiger, is at Blackgate; he notably recognizes Malone's gotten training from Kirigi, as seen in Origins -One of the callable numbers belongs to the parents of Victor Zsasz, who are still alive at the moment -Another number features a cameo from Penguin, who talks about the soon-opening Iceberg Lounge and refernces his henchwoman Tracey Buxton and his shark Tiny -Dr. Crane is working with a pre-Ivy Pamela Isley, who recently got married to Jason Woodore (the comics Floronic Man, and the man responsible for Ivy's mutation in Arkham canon) -One of the Pinkey logs translates a rune as either 'the Hand of God' or 'the Tool of Man', both options from Azrael's side mission in Knight -Multiple newspapers talk about the Riddle of the Minotaur, Riddler's videogame from B:TAS. One of them includes the 'if you're so smart, why aren't you rich?' quote too -Branden actually had the original photo of his wife in Origins, next to an advert for My Aliby; evidently the wife found out about his infidelity -The place where you find the 'Bane echo' is where you fought TN1-Bane in Origins, and the church still has remnants of the Joker fight -Numerous refrences to Ted Kord, one of the Blue Beetle identities -Right after the accident, Harvey's scarring is covered in the green acid, replicatting the coloring he has in many comics (as opposed to the detailed burn scarring in the Arkhamverse)
This game seems to have a lot of love for Steve Ditko's creations: obviously Jack Ryder (aka the Creeper) has been a presence in all of the Arkham games previously, but this one includes plenty of bits from Vic Sage (aka the Question) and news stories about Wayne Enterprises acquiring Kord Industries from Ted "Blue Beetle II" Kord.
9:46 Camouflaj actually mentioned this in an interview a while ago, they said they found themselves being lazy with the gel and just putting a small squirt instead of drawing the bat symbol. This, to Payton, seemed too lazy and “not like Batman”, so they changed it to the gel launcher
In this vr game, first thing i noticed that wasn't in the other arkham games is that when you smash/destroy the radios or rat figurines, you can do it while crouch or on a ledge. you usually have to be standing to do those in the other games. climbing is also a first too, especially when you need to destroy walls using the gel gun while you are on the bars.
Could you consider a Kevin Conroy tribute? Nov 10th marks 2nd anniversary of his death. He was the best voice of Batman. I made a tribute to him using the classic Batman toys with footage from Burton, Nolan, Arkham and Injustice but I don't got ur reach, and he deserves much bigger tribute.
The person on the gargoyle in Blackgate is definitely Shadow, it's not visible in the videos, but in the game itself it's clear that it's exactly the same character model. As for Batman's copycat, I'm betting on Barbara :P
SPOILERS!! One of my favourite details is that the game tells you from the get go who the rat king is. There are Harvey dent posters in the sewers at the start of the game that are defaced by the rats, putting “ro” in front of his name to make it “roDents”.
2:29 I’ve seen people say this could be a talon from the court of owls. If we got another Arkham game set between shadow and asylum, it would be so cool to see Bruce take on the Arkham-verse version of the Court of Owls!
If you wander around Blackgate as Matches near his cell, there are some prisoners on their cellphones in their cells explaining how Batman found and arrested them. And the details of their arrests are the same as some of the Worlds Greatest Detective challenge side missions from Arkham Origins I only noticed this on my first day as Matches, so I don’t know if this is something you can over hear on other days your in Blackgate
Also when you dial the phone numbers near the end of the game, one phone number is PLA Insight and it references a possible DLC with the Riddler coming soon. I cant be the only one who noticed that.
I haven't played the game, only watched Batman Arkham Videos' playthrough, but I think I remember seeing an in-game advert for the company who make all of the vent covers and it says something about how they produce quantity over quality. I think there are a few other voice lines and easter eggs that address little plot holes from the games, one being why Batman doesn't take all his gadgets with him. I think Alfred asks him why when dropping off a gadget with the batwing and Batman replies by saying he only thought he'd need to pack light. I can't remember exactly, but I thought it was a fun meta detail.
Another cool detail is that you can find various radios/radio stations in the game (the latter thanks to your decoder) in the game, and there’s a Gotham News station, the Jack Ryder show (frequent side character in the games, and in the comics is The Creeper), and another is Ask The Question by Vic Sage, who in the comics is The Question. Not only that, but Sage’s show has Anarky from Arkham Origins, Lonnie Machin, as it’s frequent guest caller
So if you call Shrike's apartment, it says you reach both him and Richie. The first time a name is given to his roommate. Another easter egg is that the second Bat vigilante saved one Miranda Row, who has a young daughter (who is 8 at the time). In the comics, Miranda is the mother of Harper, aka Bluebird. This game is so full of amazing content. Also great video 🙂
I'm surprised you didn't mention my favourite Easter egg which is Vic Sage AKA the Question being in the game. You can hear him multiple times on his talk show.
The game actual had DC hero The Question appear and states he's planning becoming a hero to stop the elite. The game also references the court of owls a bit so maybe it could be set up.
By the way people said why batman know Solomon Grundy on Batman Arkham Origins black gate, it's because his poster is everywhere around Gotham that's why he knows about Solomon
Keep it up on your work and this video and channel I love this video and channel Thanks you for your video and channel I love Batman Arkham all franchise
SPOILERS BTW!

let me know what you thought of Arkham Shadow
Something additional to note. Rat Grayson is wearing a Haley's Circus jacket.
That’s a good spot!

No problem! Glad I can finally use all this random knowledge 😂

Yeah it’s definitely something I would try to do but I’m not sure if I have time, if I have time I’ll try make it work!
The person on the gargoyle in Blackgate is definitely Shadow, it's not visible in the videos, but in the game itself it's clear that it's exactly the same character model. As for Batman's copycat, I'm betting on Barbara :P
Yeah I agree! be interesting if Barbara gets any more involved if they make a sequel!
As well as count vertigo Harley was also treating Winslow Schott AKA Toyman

That would be great especially that their statues appeared in Arkham Origins - wonder if we will get an Arkham VR trilogy with Camouflaj!

Dlc has been confirmed. All dlc will be free fyi
You can talk with both Roman Sionis and Garfield Lynn's in Solitary
Yeah I heard that actually but never tried it as I haven’t had time!

They never use his name, but there's a radio interview with Victor Sage, The Question.
Matches was also used for Batman Brave & the Bold's cartoon.

If Bruce met Dick through the youth center, maybe the youth center is how he met Jason and Tim as well, and how they became robin.
Damn, foe you should've been credited guess you needed that letter anyway so badly bro
😂😂
Wow!
I just watched a lets play of Arkham shadow, so after this I think I need to go watch a letsplay of Arkham asylum again!😎
If L from Death Note would've tried to solve Batman's identity, those 0.2% would've meant he's 99.8% sure Bruce is Batman
the board where bruce wayne is 0.2% of being batman is probably Harvey Dent joke i assume
By the way people said why batman know Solomon Grundy on Batman Arkham Origins black gate, it's because his poster is everywhere around Gotham that's why he knows about Solomon

Ah yes batgirl around when she was young makes total sense
I was so disappointed, not in the game rather I got damned dizzy and nauseous 5 mins in and was sick for hours after. I evidently can't play VR.
This would be me, i already know i wouldnt be able to play for long :/

how do you even accsess the arkham shadow game files? because i want the batsuit model for a mod im doing
Isn't that picture at 12:28 Aaron Cash and his wife?
Looks similar but Aaron is with his wife by the time of asylum and I don’t think he worked in blackgate unless I’m mistaken
