Having suffered a stroke almost 2 years ago at 37 I started re watching all your videos witch resulted in me catching my biggest carp recently thank you mr pullen for all the grate videos and information you pass on.
Carp catch reminds me of a lost recipe for Smoking Carp. Brined fillets were smoked and offered to the companions of the fisherman at a bar. Everyone was offered a piece and everything was DEVOURED. They finally asked what it was. Reply: "Remember ALL those CARP trash dish you-all tossed on the bank that time? I'd asked you to bring me anything you catch later rather than tossing em!" He didn't lack for Carp to smoke afterwards.
Make sure you get tested for thrombophilia, as your very young to suffer a stroke. Well done on your pb carp it's nice just to get out on the bank and enjoy the ambience..
Excellent as always graeme i love these old fisheries you find and fish as it takes me back 40 yrs, keep them coming still the best channel on youtube.
Hiya Graham, watched you a lot over the years and thoroughly enjoyed it . Always makes me smile knowing there’s 2 of us who isn’t tackle tarts and still catch fish without enormous expense . Keep it up and all the best mucked .
There is no doubt basic baits, bread/worm/sweetcorn, still catches a lot of good fish! Great session Graham, lovely venue as well. I went to a local pond this week. Small thick sliced loaf caught me 14 tench, 1 carp, 3 roach in a morning session. All these pellets/boilies/wafters/pop-ups have their day on commercials, but give me traditional baits on intimate venues any day. Very enjoyable video - Thank You👍🏻🎣
Great session. I had a awkward large perch once. I only had maggots as bait. This huge perch came out from some reeds under an over hanging tree, Every time I cast float near it it came up to the bait then swam off, Tried various other setups to no avail. In the end I removed all floats, weights etc, and just had a hook and maggot. Threw in a small handful of maggots then quickly cast the hooked maggot in same area., Got it!. It seemed it could tell the difference of a float suspended maggot on a hook and a free falling/sinking one. Clever fish! Biggest one I caught so far.
Woohoo 🥳 an hour long episode, nice!….I’ve been on my local this morning and had a few roach and Rudd, some were huge! I’m glad I’m finally catching again, I commented a few months back that I hadn’t had my net wet all year and you told me keep at it……May arrives and I’m back in the game, catching every other cast all month! Persistence pays!! ⏰…..🐠 🐟 🎣 🏆 🤣
Well Graham I have watched your videos for a very long time both coarse and sea and I need to you are the .best there is others can’t hold a candle to you . Although i fished since I was a boy and now in my 70s and have picked up many good trips from you so I thank you. See your never to old to learn. Sorry you felt the need to stop your deep sea boat fishing
Love this video. Different take on angling than what I’m used to in my area (Midwest North America). Tench, perch, carp vs. bass pike and walleye makes for a nice change of pace. Thinking I need to go out and fish for carp here soon!
Do it! Grow to big sizes and they are good fighters, the rest of the world enjoys it so you might aswell see what the hypes about and forget about casting lures for a while👍
Soooo happy when I see your uploads on a Friday....love all your vids & Ta outdoors !! Being a pie and veg lover myself, got excited to see your idea of warming a pie up on the bank....works a treat, I just tried it in a frying pan which worked just as well and was easier to remove the pie from the water....again, another one of your top tips Graeme !!! Thanks for all what you do !!!...👌👍
I love watching your channel, reminds me of my adventures as a young boy. We used porcupine quill floats and a cane rod back in the day. Thank you for making some amazing videos.
A really good idea would be a little mini series where you go around second hand shops and used tackle shops finding a cheap essential kit that can get you somone starting into fishing for a budget each episode can be a different style of fishing but with a fresh hunt for equipment to do that particular style of fishing...
I used to dig worms from the compost heap,in my parents garden as a child for canal fishing. Used to get all different size and types of worm from there.
Wow Graham, 7 species in one session, Carp, Tench, Perch, Rudd, Chub, Barbel and Branch! :-) The last one I have many PB with! :-) as always an excellent entertaining video, thanks for all you do.
I love watching you fish that pond always full of surprise fish and you never know what you will catch next. Great filming lovely surroundings and I've learnt a new method of cooking. Next week contracts finally exchanged and from Friday will be living in Paignton. You would always be welcome.
That was a grand days fishing. I've recently discovered that Tesco sell jars of cockles in brine for £2 which work a treat for Tench and Chubb on the feeder with micro pellets :O)
Hi mate thanks for all the videos I've just lost my wife to pancreatic cancer she loved fishing we sat and watched you videos in hospital she was diagnosed 18th of February and passed on 30th of April Thank you for making her time enjoyable
Its wonderful if you can discover a little used lake. As a kid my father got us tickets to Compton Verney lake, Warwickshire and the top lake at Cofton Hackett, Worcestershire. Two of the best days fishing ever. Pristine fish.....and lots of them.
Graeme. Many years ago my dad bought what looks like a big plastic dustbin, but it was a wormery (?) You take the kitchen waste (no meat) and put it inside. After a few months you should smell something like a compost heap, but too be different. It'll be warm, wet and have lots of worms in it. The one we had had a nice fitting lid and every time we opened it there was worms in the lid. Should you get one you'll have access to worms without digging and some great compost. Free worms! 😆👍
Heated up pies on a running engine, but not simmered them. Good idea Greame. Peas would have gone well with the pie and spuds...but guess who would have eaten them. Mr carp. Great video Mr Pullen, have a good weekend.
LOVE THIS SIR!! Im sitting here WONDERING how did you slip out of my view and subscriptions? I again today got the urge to fish and looked up fishing again, (believing I've forgotten😂) as soon as I seen TA fishing I thought that looks familiar. (YES OFCOURSE) I WAS ADDICTED TO YOUR TUITION AND TIPS before the bollocks of covid. Made me laugh losing a potatoe or two but love the science behind transferring heat to the pie. Think you're great mate. What a life. Mrs in Majorca with her friends as I keep my daughter alive 😂😂 her friend stayed last night so no sleep as they kept me up a party today JESUS. MRS PLANNED THIS HOLIDAY WITH FORESIGHT IM SURE. SO IBNEED TO FISH TOMORROW. I would love to bump into you one time. I'd pay to fish with ya. Take care Sir. Dean. My dieing wish to fish along side you on your boat. Please make it happen. Respect 👍👍
old video i know (Im here from youtube recommendations after i watched your recent video the other day!) but the fish you pulled out at 14:37 which you called a Golden Tench with the red mark on its belly looks like a pike bite which has been healing. Its gotten hit by one of them and somehow its managed to give it the slip and survive.
That perch is a monster! Waiting for close season to end before I get out on a reservoir near me, only caught a couple of trout before but I fancy going for perch or pike this summer
God, still water Barbel, I remember visiting Partridge lakes near Warrington about 11 years ago, they had put in 2000 of them. Caught my first ever, super made up ecstatic even, then followed by another 75 Barbel.. ended up packing away after 3 hours was completely done in...
I discovered a big unfished pond full of big carp while camping in dammerham in Hampshire. I got permission from the farmer to fish it and it was the best fishing i ever had. When I returned the next year it was completely empty, all the fish gone and not a drop of water. Just a big empty hole about 30 foot deep. Never found out why.
Just a quick one Graham, them expander pellets will float even after soaking, they need to be pumped with a pellet pump! Try the Sonubaits Pro Expanders, they are higher in oil so sink immediately even before soaking! Great video as always!
Yes mr pullen. Love the vid pal. Always interesting all the tackle and baits you use Graham. A hope you catch a big tench with your green ground bait and worms/ night crawlers. Lol.
What a great session Graeme! Can't believe how many different species in one lake. When you said "its a Barbel", first thing that went through my mind was whatever you do don't loose it! Thoroughly enjoyed this Friday night video, just what I needed. Keep up the good work.
That green `Mainline` ground bait, reminded me of another green ground bait from a few years ago. That one was from Aldi supermarkets, and only came out when they did their fishing weeks; It was amazing stuff and smelled a bit of mint/ peppermint, Odd I know, but the moment it hit the water, all the fish in the area where on it. Not seen it for a few years now , it was great stuff. Anybody else remember it?
My best fish ever (a big perch) was caught on one of the biggest lobworms I ever dug up. I used a small old bob float. This was over the river Lea in an industrial area as well. Magic moment I'll never forget it.
I've watched every vid youve ever put out from sharks to making stuff with pallet wood and I have to say this is one of the best ones ever. The variety of fish you caught on a worm is incredible. Guess the green groundbait works!!
Having suffered a stroke almost 2 years ago at 37 I started re watching all your videos witch resulted in me catching my biggest carp recently thank you mr pullen for all the grate videos and information you pass on.

Good shout Lad, where did you go
@@garrymobey912 A local club pond just outside Lymm, Cheshire. Only 1/2 acre but has some lovely old fish in it.👍🏻👍🏻🎣

Could watch you all day every day. Superb vids . Great Banter. Relate to us all. Keep going very entertaining and teaching. Loved it😀🤝👏
Great Video thanks Graeme, you can't beat the good old worm for bait
I'm using worms a lot more and they seem to be fairly consistent catchers .
What a great video, loved the action, loved the tips and great advice. Thanks Graham

Brilliant my mate keep doing what your doing see you on the Bank sometime willy
Love this video Graeme
i use valve attachemtns for floats but they change how much shot you need sometimes, there can be a small air gap that needs accounting for
You’re one of the most amazing fisherman of all time

I thought it might help people unwind at the end of the week. Nothing like sitting by a lake watching a float or a bobbin.
Great video!

Great nights viewing 👍
That ground bait is from Mainline.
They make some quality products.
I've used their boilies for years.
The pineapple is a killer boilie.

Mainline seem to be appearing more these days. Great baits, but curious if Mainline have seen sense and sponsored the best to do it?
loved that video the fishing was great but the pie and spuds looked so tasty.
Just needed some gravy granules.

What a stunning lake Graham where is or is it secret squirrel stuff
We call those floats, quill bobbers. That's a nice one.
Sportin the Corduroy Pants. Knowing Graham they are original and from the 70's. 👍
Probably never been washed since then so they are well lucky to wear when fishing.
Great video graham 👍🏻
Fantastic

Just an idea but why not warm a pie in a dry pan with scrunched up tin foil in the base to stop it burning and a lid on to keep the dry heat in ?
