I went there yesterday, hence i looked up videos about it. It looks lively in your video compared to yesterday. this was the place to be in the 90s, it was considered an upgrade to the more pedestrian del amo mall. the second floor is very empty now.

That Mongolian BBQ was a Chick-fil-A in the late 90's / early 2000's. Ever since Nordstroms here closed & relocated to Del Amo this mall went on dowhhill spiral, free falling after pandemic.

I was there like two weeks ago. Half the stores are closed and any life that mall once had is dangling by a thread. It was already on its last leg, but Covid just came in and swept that leg right into chapter 11. Real shame cause all through middle and high school, I loved walking around this mall with my friends just getting into all kinds of mischief. We even played hide and seek in the Macy's lol.
I never fail to mention that this mall is dying anytime I go to it, but it'll break my heart when the day comes that it's really closed or even gone.

It’s so close to del amo which is the more dominant mall. I can see why its no longer a fun place to be

Man i have so many childhood memories of this place. Its sad to see it dying. First it was Del Amo mall that was dying but then the renovation brought it back and took all the Galleria shoppers with it. Very sad.

This hurts. I used to love coming here in the late 1990's. It's kind of painful to see this 😭

I would go there late 80's thru mid 90's.
It was such a nice place to hang out.
Before the pandemic, I walk into this Mall and walked out a short time later.

The original department store anchor was NOT called "MAYCO"... it was called the "MAY COMPANY" and the signs were shown as "MAY CO."
