Another great review! Couple of points: The A-Spec model refers to 'American' Spec, or so I've heard. The dual screen is dated for sure, but when you use Apple Car Play or Android auto, it really comes together- Google earth on the top screen and streaming music on the bottom, all from your phone, and easily controlled from the center knob. Easy to overlook unless you've seen it working...

Just bought a 2020 Aspec in 2023. Everyone is complaining about the infotainment system. What I like is it’s touchscreen. The new MDX is a mouse pad looking thing. Come on man. Spend $60k + and no touch screen. 😢

Love the blue. The shark 🦈 skinned wheel should remind our dads of some of the suits that they wore. All jokes aside the rims are gorgeous. I wouldn’t need 3 rows but $56k for this gorgeous vehicle is not too shabby. Great video 👍

Rati did you find the ride quality to be a bit on the firm side compared with others in the segment? That’s been my drive critique with this model is whatever suspension setup they have isn’t very forgiving.

Nice vehicle, the sport package is not impressive because I would have expected more H.P. On my 2nd MDX ShAWD. Had 2015, blue, spotted the 2020 expresso brown and fell inlove, so I traded up, especially because of the captain seats and center console in the 2nd row, the kids love it.... 👍🏻

Great review as always. My wife and I looked at this car before deciding on the Audi Q7. Just couldn’t justify $55K on that car with that interior tech compared to other cars with similar prices

Yeah. We got ours and the black gloss can get scratched easily. Definitely recommend putting the ceramic coating on it.

Acura MDX typically stands above average. Tons of power, build quality and styling but interior needs a redesign to catch up to competitors.

@@DhruvDrives You might be right, but I'm still not a great fan of the paint.
Eh it's ok, but it looks a little too much like the WRX blue, with a bit of purple mixed in. If you want a nice blue, search for Mazda Eternal Blue Mica, it's a nice gunmetal blue.
Will you do koenigsegg for example gemera would be cool if you can get a test drive of that one. Or the Jesko from the same company

@LEGIT.PLAYZZ Unfortunately Lexus is also stuck in 2012. Compare the center console to some of the European brands, they make this Acura look like a fossil. I'm not saying its impractical or even hard to use, I'm commenting solely on the looks.
@LEGIT.PLAYZZ The issues with the design of this Acura go way beyond "too much plastic", it's all totally off. I agree that the old GLE interior was kinda sad too, but the Acura is still worse.
It's definitely due for a updated design.
Exterior is fine as it is, but it really needs the new RDX & TLX centre stack and dash design to modernize it.

They are going to reveal the 2021 MDX I think soon and it will have the same infotainment as the RDX and the 2021 TLX!
Love how it had to reliable good NA v6 . I did not want to buy a car w turbos since I know it won’t be as reliable down the road like the v6
Man o man. Everything was going great joe I was falling for this one but then as soon as we went inside I saw it’s true colors and Acura had to go and disappoint with this old busted infotainment system! 🤦♂️. I have always like Acura cars just their screens have been horrible. But thankfully in the 2021 Tlx they have upgraded and I am really looking forward to getting a type S next year.

Nope it isn't.
Like the look of the A-Spec without the cloth inserts in the seats and with the advance package options which is what the PMC is supposed to provide. That said I have a 2016 MDX that is paid for and am waiting for what the 2021 model looks like. It those Patent images that have been floating around are any indication it looks way too long for my taste. I like the dual screen set up. Much better than one huge single screen. The resolution could be better but it is functional and easy to use. Not sure if I will like the switch to the single screen set up like the RDX. Hope the new MDX offers touch screen and the track pad like Mercedes does. I am leaning towards getting a 2020 MDX Hybrid advance or ditching Acura and looking at the GV80 when it comes out. I believe Acura is offering 0% financing right now so the deals should be good. I am not a fan of turbo engines and the 2020 MDX looks like the last naturally aspirated V6 engine we will see from Acura. I would much prefer the linear power that the 321 Horsepower Hybrid engine offers than a 3.0 liter turbocharged engine. I think that at most it will offer 380 horsepower either way I can live without the 60 extra horses. I also think that the 2021 MDX will have a 2.0 liter turbo option which I wouldn’t even remotely entertain purchasing. The GV80 is impeccable inside not so sure about the exterior yet.

Still looks good but needs new character lines to keep up with the competition. Mechanics are good, SH-AWD is good. Maybe the MDX needs a turbo 4 banger similar to the RDX (and this SUV needs to go on a diet).
My daughter has 2019 MDX A-Spec and paid about $40,000 for it new. She was hit by a 200 CC delivery motorbike on the rear fender. The local Acura dealer quoted $20,000 to repair the rear fender, suspension, disc, wheel, and the side airbags. Reminds me of inkjet printers, the best value to purchase and pay for inks and repairs.

Great video. Big disappointment for Acura that we still remain two screens looks cheap in MDX especially in ASpec package. For interior Acura falls behind most of luxurious brand especially out off Lexus.
