1 Kings 2:19-20 So Bathsheba went to King Solomon, to speak to him on behalf of Adonijah. The king rose to meet her, and bowed down to her; then he sat on his throne, and had a throne brought for the king’s mother, and she sat on his right. Then she said, “I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me.” And the king said to her, “Make your request, my mother; for I will not refuse you.”
I just prayed last night for my guardian angel to help me pray better, to "learn how to pray" sincerely, and today this video popped up! Wonderful advice, and a great resource for me. Thanks for this channel!
We are witnessing the words and ideas if the new saints of holy mother church. I pray oh Lord that more and more of these holy priests come forth as they nurture us out of apostasy and lovingly lead us back to the truth of the magisterium. Bless them and protect them oh Lord. Amen
The best form of prayer that I’ve done and attended and that is Eucharistic adoration because every Tuesday I go to my Catholic Church in New Britain CT, Saint Francis of Assisi for Eucharistic adoration and I’ll even take out my Holy Rosary and start praying the sorrowful mysteries. And whenever I pray the Divine Office, Morning Prayer. I like to picture myself that I’m attending Eucharistic adoration in the morning as well.
Most reverence homely ever presented. May you live closer to Christ each day of your life and may the Lord grant you His courage and blessings. Viva Christo Rey.
Great, many people, like the Evangelicals, pray for material possessions, boyfriends/girlfirends, wordly success .... We should only pray to what can lead us to heaven.
You can ask for anything from God and he will either say yes or no in fact he wants us to ask her good girlfriends are a good marriage partner pray always for everything
Actually, if we are faithful, humble and trust we don't even need to ask for those things because the Lord knows already what we need and sometimes that's to be alone and serve him.
@@keig6161 May the will of GOD be done to us. Pray for the conversion of sinners and the salvation of souls and the restoration of the Catholic Church. May the grace of GOD help us to become a saints.
We should pray to God for everything! Not praying for something because it is unspiritual is heresy. Our Blessed Mother prayed for wine at a wedding. How dare anyone pretend they are holier than Our Lady! Hannah and Sarah prayed for a child in the Old Testament and it was counted as righteous. David prayed for victory in battle and a thousand other things and was "a man after God's own heart"! Jesus Himself told us to ask for everything, and did not spurn people's prayers for healing, for bread, for safety from a storm, but note that He always allows them to ask for it first. This is repeated again and again and again in the New Testament and thousands of times in the Psalms. To say we should not pray for material things displays an ignorance of Scripture. God will give us what we need, and we should ask in accordance with His Will, submitting ourselves humbly to His response, but He said over and over again that He still wants us to ask! To ask God for our daily bread is an act of humility. Never be so "holy" that you are too good to go to God in prayer like a humble child.
My mom has always taught me well on how to pray very well in many ways whether it's praying the Holy Rosary or a novena or even lighting a few candles at church. And here's another thing that I've learned and that is God answers all prayers and sometimes the answer is yes or no or possibly not yet. And I also learned that I have to be careful of what I pray for because whatever prayer intentions I have, it better be good and beneficial. The other day my mom told me about a new opportunity for Catholic education and she says that I should take the initiative and go for it and pray on it as well. And as for telling my aunt, I'm better off not telling her at all because if I tell her, she might not agree with me and try to talk me out of it and I was feeling a bit discouraged but my mom told me to never mind what my aunt says and take the initiative and pray on it unceasingly and attend the Catholic class courses in person and online. And my mom is right.
I've found many ways of praying and here it is as follows. 1. Praying the Divine Office. Office of readings, Morning prayer, Evening prayer, Night prayer. 2. The Holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary. 3. The Chaplet of Divine Mercy daily at 3:00 pm. 4. The Chaplet of Saint Therese of Liseux the little flower and that can be part of my morning prayer routine as well.
Lord God, I thank You for allowing me to pray with true devotion to You, all those things that are agreeable to God's Commandments, persevering in prayer is my strength. This is our will of God.
Distractions are not a bad thing if you're overcoming them in prayer. St. Ignatius of Loyola actually teaches this that grace, as long as distractions are overcome.. you will gain grace.
Prayer has always been helpful and useful for me in good times and bad times such as when I was tested positive for COVID 3 times in the past and thank God I managed well to recover and why was I tested that way? Well I guess I wasn't being cautious and God was trying to tell me to be cautious but I guess I didn't listen to him and thus I had to go through it but he helped me get through it along with the help of some of the Saints that I pray to such as Saint Therese the little flower of God and Blessed Michael J Mcgivney. And if God is testing any of us like with COVID or whatever it is, I don't think he's doing it to make us feel miserable at all but rather he's doing it to help us to become more cautious and be more loyal to him. Saint Padre Pio had the stigmata and did he like it? No he didn't. But he didn't complain about it and didn't say anything bad about God at all but rather trusted in God all the days of his life until he entered Heaven.
Here is the introductory prayer recited by the Father: Glory be to the Holy Ghost forever and ever. Glory be to the spirit of truth forever and ever. Glory be to the spirit of grace and prayer forever and ever. O Holy Ghost, come down upon thy children. Give us grace, and make us thine. Thy tender fires within us kindle, blessed Spirit, Dove divine. Sweet Spirit of the Father and the Son, be thou the life of my soul. May thy sanctifying grace ever abide in me, increase day by day, and give life and vigor to all my deeds. Divine Spirit of sanctity, source of infinite holiness, do thou take possession of my whole being and do thou sanctify me, by enabling me to conform of myself on all occasions and in all things to thy holy will. Amen.
Sometimes I find it difficult to pray with confidence when I feel that my faith is low, but since faith comes from God, this seems to be something that I can’t necessarily control on my own.
I must find some of the work by St. Teresa of Avila. I keep pondering how to combine the Rosary with mental prayer. At 9:30 she talks of this. Thank you for this upload. I listen to it often. *+JMJ* - Reg.
This how i do it / look for quiet place room than do a prayer of contrition if possible after that i recommend to kneel because that's how you can scare the enemy away . Use holy water , do the sign of the cross . Than through your mind do the Rosary if you know it by heart if not than read it for starters by paper its better than nothing, because meditating on the Mysterys of the Rosary must be done slower pace bringing yourself into the mystery and reciting in your mind what is actually happening . say the Rosary through your thoughts in a slower pace i believe it takes over an hour depending how much energy you put . But remember its a life long process theres nine levels Saint theresa of avila explains that i believe . Dont be anxious to andvance or master it ...its all done with patience . It all depends how much time you have day in and day out but remember love for worldly things wont let you grow. Because the enemy always will work against you to not do it or do it wrong or distract.Im not a meditating genious but the holyspirt will lead you to understand and how to grow if you want once you get a habit doing the rosary .
Amazing talks. However one thing is not true that he said here. He said The more distracted you are in prayer, the less grace. Distractions are not always voluntary. St. Thomas Aquinas says, it is more important to pray with intention rather than attention. Or something to that effect. In short, God looks at our intentions when we pray, distractions that are not voluntary, can actually help our prayer become more meritorious.
If not , protect me as I keep an eye on his friends that can't escape Georg because they don't know what Georg is abusing them because I know they are being abused.
Dear Sabrina, I pray you are well and have been set free of this evil man and are free in the Lord Jesus with His protection, the Angel of His Presence and His Holy angels and Holy Spirit. Father God, protect this dear child of Yours, Sabrina, help her to be safe and free, In Jesus Holy Name. amen

Grace is divine help to have faith and to do good works and attain salvation. It is not opposed to good works, it is given for the purpose of doing them. The works that Saint Paul said do not save are the ritual works of the law of Moses, not moral works. God commanded us to do good works, and they are required for salvation, because we will be judged according to our deeds. Good works have merit before God. He is pleased with those who obey him. That God does not want us to boast of ourselves does not mean that our good works have no merit before him.
Ddera Oj Yes, it’s true. Go, read your Bible, prayerfully reading and then in meditate on His Word and on His Graces. The Holy Spirit will guide and illuminate your mind. His grace is sufficient! He always tells me, “My Grace is sufficient for you.” Remember, “The Word Of God is Living and effectual and more piercing than any two edged sword; and reaching unto the division of the soul and the spirit, of the joints also and the marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. .. So let us go therefore with confidence to throne of grace; that we may obtain mercy , and find grace in seasonable aid.” Hebrews4:12, 16 “Apart from Me , you can do nothing.” Jesus said, Like the man said, it is through prayer. God gives us grace in proportion, according to the disposition of your soul. The Sacraments, especially the Eucharist, is the best way to commune with Jesus, because in this Sacramental encounter, if you’re preparing yourself and receiving him in a state of Grace, the the graces you need and ask for will certainly be yours. Sin is always what separates us from God. So, be disposed to prayer. And always ready to confess your sins(examine your conscience )in prayer, day and night. Just persevere! God will not withhold any good thing from those who walk up rightly!
