When you I talked your flush Mount rod holders in front of the boat did you hook up drain lines to the bottom of them so they don’t drain into the bilge area or are they open bottom and draining into the bilge?
Nice video. FYI those float switches have two tabs on the side that you can squeeze and separate it from the base which lets you reuse the base mount….on a side note, do you happen to know if the two inline fuses connected directly to the batteries are redundant protection or do they each “hard wire” separate devices? The only thing I am aware of that runs with the battery switch off is the float switch.
Those wire connectors are awesome! First time seeing those.. thanks for sharing! I already have them in my cart on Amazon. 😊
I put a hatch in my R200. Game changer
I like your storage facility.
At 8:55 there’s an extra screw. Is there anyway to move the through hull valve without going into the panel in front of the engine?
@@EngineNoise305 nope, only access point

Yeah....zero reason to unscrew anything. Just pop the old switch off using the tabs, snap in new switch, then rewire.
Yahh Love the fixer videos. I need to replace the up and down switch on the motor. When you doing that one hahahaha
Hopefully never 🤣🤞🤞
I have the R180, with a 150 Merc. Almost the same boat -2ft. I am very interested in mods and maintenance.
Thanks, very useful
I have the same problem with my 2020 r200 ! Do you do work on the side? I have bad shoulders. Live in Palm Coast!
@@fernandonogueira7771 sorry about your shoulders, hopefully ya find a reputable shop to fix your float switch.
I’m ex nuclear mechanic so I enjoyed this too
On/off switches and Nuclear fission is almost the same thing
@Deadfeat 🤣😂
Your Minn kota has a lifetime warranty on the shaft
Correct, I have a warranty tech checking if that includes labor.
