Don’t sell it! That’s your baby, you would regret it! Stay polaris if you decide to get another rig, the X3 are nice but I think the Pro XP is and Polaris brand are better build quality. Not to mention the space inside the X3 is really hard to get in and out of. I looked a a couple and hated getting in and out of it. And if you go with a 4 seater the wheel base is so darn long! I like the Pro XP Ultimate and the new 4 seater is crazy nice! But at the end of the day do what makes you happy. Everyone I speak to in the industry like the X3 but say the quality vs Rzr just isn’t that good. I hear that a lot.
@@Cinccinatti_C3 I haven't looked much into the Pro XP's but sounds like I should. An X3 build would be fun, but I do have a soft spot for Polaris. I need to drive a new one and see what its it's like.
The Off Road Adventure Channel man you are in for an experience! The ride in that new Pro XP is wowing! And the view point on the 4 seater with the decked rear seats is so nice because in the old Rzr 4 seaters you rode but in this design you are more one with the driver because you can see and the some of the features like the ride command and the rear collapsing seats for more storage or your case your dog can ride with any problems. It’s just an awesome unit. They really thought this thru and listen to the consumers. And the power is nice too! The fox live valve 2.0 is twice the ride of the the 1st gen.
@@Cinccinatti_C3 Its a good thing you don't work at my local dealership... if your not in sales, you missed your calling! 😂 Well damn man, I'll have to find my way into a Pro here soon and see what this is all about. Heard nothing but the same positive remarks from other folks.
Man I say keep it. It's your baby and will never see anything close to what you out in it. That being said the X3's are fast but I dont fit well in them, kinda feel like I'm sitting on the floor. Same way I feel so far. They are faster and more plush for duning. Just not wild about the seating position and view from the cockpit. Otherwise they do feel like little sandrails. Thanks for the comment, man!
Thanks bud, some good info you shared. The sell/buy gets me constantly too. The sand sports show was no help deterring me lol. I know every nut, bolt, sound, etc... of my 18’ rzr 1k4 and how to fix it. Starting over with the learning curve and the costs is likely the biggest deterrent. It doesn’t help these manufacturers eat their own $$. Each year they come out with a better option. Whatever you decide will be exciting but you’ve barely scratched the surface with the available options with what you have. Hawk has an LS conversion lmao...
Could you imagine... hahaha LS power..yeah buddy! That's just it though. I feel like it's cheaper to keep er, as they say. Build something better than OEM and hang onto it for the long haul. Hard to fight wanting something new though, as you know. SXS's are like electronics now, the latest and greatest lasts about a year and then your out dated! Makes it hard to jump back in.
Tough choice brother. You have a killer machine you've put a ton of time and money in, I'm sure it'd be hard to let go... Will the x3-RR, Turbo S, or ProXp be that much better than what you have? -Joe
Well put, and thank you. Keep asking myself the same thing. Patience may be the answer. Being that in two more years everything will be completely different, again! Thanks brotha
Very cool video and VERY nice car. So here’s my idea...I would keep that car and only use it in hard pack and buy/build a nice sand rail. It’s what I did and so far has been great. Rzr’s and sxs in general are cool but having a nice V8 sand car blow those out of the water. But in the dirt I’d much rather cruise my rzr. Just my .02 lol
Yeah man! I'd love to have a sandrail. Big power, big suspension.. we talk about it every trip out. Best of both worlds. Its gonna happen! Your doing it right
I live vicariously through you so . . . whatever you end up doing will be great - and I will keep watching. 👍🏼 BTW how much do you have wrapped up in her? Enjoy your creation as long as you can.
Awesome review and build. How many miles are on her? I've got a 17 turbo with 1900 miles. So far it's been good. I've noticed the front diff is starting to leak fluid from the driver side seal where the axle inserts. Other than that no issues
We have the same miles! And yeah, it's been a great car. I have no complaints. Great power, very reliable. Just keeping up on the maintenance and keeping her cleaned and cared for seems to work.
GREAT VIDEO. I Say Keep it and long Travel it Maybe Even Make it Faster I have and RZR also u can add the BOONDOCKER Dominator Upgrade and much more with that LONG TRAVEL ull be killing it out their
Such a nice RZR. I would love to see you put long travel on it. It would be icing on the cake. How much would you sell it for if you did go that route?
If anything turn the HP up....big turbo! That could be removed and sold if you decide to get a different SxS. Does the big HP increase add more smiles per gallon? I'm on the fence myself. The other channels don't really mention anything more than how it does drag racing. I want to know how it dunes and does it make it substantially more fun. Thx, great video btw.
You have the same way of thinking. I'm not interested in racing in a straight line. Wouldn't mind the extra HP for China/Olds and the big dunes. I just wonder about the reliability and longevity of the motor at that point. The boondocker and agency power kits look pretty good.
@@TheOffRoadAdventureChannel I've considered those as well but will probably go with Aftermarket Assassins on my XPT due to the forum reviews. Heck the E85 stock turbo setup from them is enticing. You can switch back to gas as needed.
Why did you go with a 4 seater not a 2. Do you carry more passengers than two but not show in your videos lol. If so hows the handling on the 4 compared to a 2 seater you've drove before. Thanks great vids too.
I chose the 4 seater because I feel like it tracks better, I also prefer the way they look when built. Most of the time I'm by myself! Haha The two seaters I've been in feel less planted in the rear at speeds.. I also like the option of having open seats for whomever what's to ride!
Thanks just left the local dealer and looked at the new 2020 turbo s and the only thing is trying to figure out to go with a 4 seater or 2. The 4 seater turbo xp comes at a lower price because of the less options but eventually I would upgrade. Still having a hard time deciding but getting closer lol. Thanks again for great reviews and honest opinions.
Keep it, nice car, I too have a 17 xp4t, great cars. Do the suspension, and long travel, it will feel like a new car. Can’t believe you haven’t had to do any clutch work yet, how it it on belts? I usually only ride in the dunes with mine, and though I’ve never blown a belt, it has run very hot... clutch work remedied much of that. X3s are great cars as well, but after owning and driving an XP then driving an X3, I just don’t like how they handle... I feel the XP has much better steering and handling. The X3 does have a bit more power, is smoother, and is a bit more reliable. Again, if you are still on stock springs, that should be your next upgrade, I went with shock therapy stage 4 RIS and it was worth every penny!
I agree with everything you said. Long travel and shock work would transform it again into a new experience. I'm driving it much harder now that when I first got it, and I'm finding the limits to the stock suspension are starting to slow me up. I've blown two belts, but I started swapping them out around 25 hours to avoid it. Seems like both times I blew them they were right around that timing mark. I've driven my buddies X3 and the motor feels more lively, which I like. I mainly didn't care for the rear suspension. Nothing money and time can't fix, but it felt too active to me. I was missing the track-ability from my 4 seater. The front suspension on the X3 is awesome, just swallows up everything. Again, it all can be tuned and dialed in perfect I'm sure..
Installed a Razorback belt temp gauge, and saw that belt temp was consistently 220*. Did some troubleshooting, and found that my clutch was misaligned, even though the XPT doesn’t necessarily have an alignment adjustment. Fixed that, installed a desertcraft clutch fan and an aftermarket assassins S3 performance clutch kit, and belt temp stays between 160 and 180 in the dunes. Had the same belt for over 600 dune miles now. What VR tuner did you go with?
@@garinleith5591 That's a seriously impressive amount of dune miles on the same belt! I've not installed the temp gauge solely because I'd stair at it all day... lol sounds like a nice setup though. Links in the description for the Tune info.
