Fun Facts Time: 'It Hurts Me' was released on 10 February, 1964. 1 day after the Beatles transformative debut on the Ed Sullivan Show (you knew I'd somehow bring the Beatles in to the story :-) 'It Hurts Me' was also Elvis's last non movie soundtrack release for some time. (His next 28 songs were film soundtrack releases). The song was co-written by Charlie E Daniels of 'The Devil Went Down To Georgia' fame. I highly recommend reacting to the live version of 'The Devil Went Down To Georgia' by the Charlie Daniels Band. It's a 'Good vs. Evil' story set to a Blue Grass/Rockabilly beat that Elvis himself would've loved It's great seeing you do your thing again.
