That may also be accurate, I perhaps spoke too soon by calling them aliens. Their origin isn’t actually explained, but humanoid aliens are just very common in the Kaiju genre so that’s what I rolled with.
@@DangerVille You’re not wrong, it could be theorized that A Pre-established Alien society interbred with humans to create this advanced race. Which also explains the Kaijus.
If you never seen the show then how do you know if he's not the strongest? If you seen how much damage he did to gamera you would understand why people call him that
I definitely think that Gamera proved himself to be the strongest of the monsters overall, due to the fact that he defeated every monster, with varying levels of difficulty. Gyaos, Jiger, Zigra, Guiron, and Viras were all formidable opponents, but the guardian of the universe beats all of them. I would say that Gyaos at its most powerful was the strongest opponent, as well as being the weakest at its weakest. Viras was built up to be the most powerful enemy monster after the powered up Gyaos. Then came Guiron, who caused the most physical damage to Gamera at peak condition. After that was Zigra, who gave Gamera trouble in their shared element under water. Finally, there is Jiger, who was stronger than the weakest Gyaos, due to being the first of the monsters to injure Gamera, but weaker than the other monsters, who did a better job against Gamera. However, Gamera is still number 1.
To be fair they all would clap gamera Ass then would leave him alone when he was knocked out and they would get all killed for tryna find the kids lmao
One of my favorite kaiju from the show besides gamera was the mutated gyaos in the last episode I would say the most powerful kaiju from the show was viras imo.
My Personal List is 1.Viras - Statements Back em up, Viras Surviving the pressure of Space, Anti-Gravity Abilities, Unfazed by Fireballs that Killed Characters like Zigra, and Gyaos, Could Taze and Freeze Gamera in place, Smacked Gamera to death, and IK he was Weakened but was still able to Tank the Anti-gravity Beam and fly to space, Meaning he wasn’t that Immensely Tired, and this was after bro got The beating only my Mother could copy, yes I can confirm my mother has 8 arms that all have electrical Chanclas, I’m built different. 2.Guiron - Very close but He could only cut one of Gameras arms, While Viras Held back Gamera and his other arm with No difficulty. Shurikens aren’t gonna do anything to Viras 3.Zigra - His Intelligence and Ability to Damage and previously take down Gamera for a while is enough to take down the other 3, also Can glide and his tail could literally wrap around the other 3 and Take em down to the Depths of Hell, 🧇 4.Jiger - Stunned and Took down a completely fine Gamera 5. S Gyaos - Couldn’t Beat a Massively Weakened Gamera 6. Gyaos - Do I need to explain. If I forgot one, means they were Fodder or I’m just dumb, mb. Also Gamera is Number 0 meaning The obvious Number 1.
Guiron is definitely the strongest kaiju that Gamera has faced in the series, no doubt. He has both offense and defense suited for him to face the Guardian of the Universe. No other kaiju has been able to cut off one of Gamera's arm off clean, threw a shuriken to his eye and stab him to death. Guiron is unquestionably a scary and tough kaiju to fight
Yeah guiron in the show was the deadliest monster in the show. Not only having attacks that could pierce gamera's skin and shell but also have a tough body to the point that not even gamera's plasma blast could do any damage.
I haven’t watched this yet. Never been a fan of anime adaptations of properties that are already known for live action. But I will definitely give it a shot. I was let down by the Godzilla anime trilogy and let down by Singular Point. Hopefully this doesn’t also.
I think we all were let down by the two Godzilla anime. But seriously, give Gamera: Rebirth a chance. This time they don't push the monsters aside for the human story.
Godzilla the series was an animated sequel to godzilla 1998 and look at how much better it was as a result.....tokusatsu isn't just limited to live action. Same goes to marvel and DC not just being limited to comics as they been adapted into cartoons/anime, live action shows/movies and games
The real winner was my boy, Guiron - from one of the goofiest monsters, here he was like an Evil Samurai Jack of kaiju: Leaping all over the place with the blade., and was the first to reallt gut Gamera in serious way.
Guiron too is my favorite, imagine the navy facing this very agile kaiju, probably hitting nothing, and considering its very sharp knife head, any man made metal weeapon is no match to guiron
Friendly pointer- Guiron is pronounced "Gee-Ron" Guiron's Japanese name Giron (ギロン) is most likely a truncation of the Japanese word for guillotine, girochin (ギロチン)
The thing I loved about Gamera in this anime is just how fucking strong and tanky he is, this dude tanked attacks that I’m pretty damn sure would’ve killed the old Gamera in the old Showa Era movies, then he used attacks that show how strong he is compared to his old Showa incarnation, Rebith Gamera is in my opinion the strongest incarceration of Gamera.
I would actually argue that Zigra is stronger than Gyaos and Jiger. While yes his final showdown was pretty lackluster. Take into account that he was actively being disoriented by the radio tower and was totally out of his element. During their earlier battle in the water he actually bested Gamera at full health. The only other kaiju to manage a feat like that was Guiron.
If something is super huge moving hundreds of miles an hour, seeing the whole picture from a distance allows the movement to appear slow: a ship beaching full speed doesn't appear quick until beach explodes, we know how fast flying sand is: monsters judo-flipping to the ground happens so quickly, it ruins the effect: at their size, a fast punch should make vapor-trails; at that distance, bass-sound should travel up from the ground, while sound traveling through air takes time; footsteps should squeeze ground water from the soil.
Gamera rebirth is awesome and the kajiu are powerful, mythical and scary compared to Evangelion, attack and titans and blood c this and Godzilla singular point are some of truest kajiu ever made
If u think about it, viras was able to do what killed gamera effortlessly. The lightning of hemden is also an op orylium laser that can shoot into space. And everyone acts like he’s more op than guiron, S-gyaos, and gamera. And if he was able to do that like it was nothing, he might be the most op. And that force field would just render guiron useless. Just that guiron was the most efficient
Gamera Rebirth is quite an un-expected well done teenage-kaiju cartoon series: Pros: +Comparing to Skull Island - in GaRe we can see LOTS BETTER Kaiju and Human characters development and discovering +Quite properly written narrative with respect to the original Lore of this universe +Quite interesting and unusual theme of American-Japanese interaction/history, which comes in many ways: an American bully who bites younger japanese kids (BigAmerica vs Small Japan) like a link to WW2 events, later becoming their main alliace (like in real life). Interaction between the US and Japan military, which led to the big success. So, Kaiju-theme was created in these two countries, started with Kong1933, continued with MonsterFromBeneath-1952, which inspired and led to Gojira 1956. These themes can be seen in the cartoon directly and in-directly. +Much more than 1.5 Kaiju Battles comparing to Skull-Island +SURPRISINGLY LOTS OF PLOT-TWISTS!! +For the first time ever, we're seeing a heavily damaged/lost-a-limb kaiju for a few series, till the very end and it looked so natural, authentic and original!! Simply cannot believe such a level of realism is done by the japanese studio. TRULY AWESOME!! One of the bestest lines in Kaiju-stuff ever made. I mean - Ga lost its limb and been fighting without it for the next few series!! UNBELIEVABLE! +Spectacular fight against BladeHead(aka Guiron) +Left so much stuff for the possible future series development +Gamera uses fire-balls out of his mouth instead of the mediocre muzzle beam. I can say there's definitely some Beam-Muzzle fatigue for the Japanese stuff. +For the first time ever, we're seeing the story about the tank-pilots. Tanks in Kaiju movies are like toys which serve only as one-shot thing, but here we can see the development of history behind tank-pilots, who played big role in the final events of the series. Also the overall approach for tanks alone was quite interesing, with first-time seeing tanks having their own learned and prepared tactics, with even evading the Kaiju attacks, including the beam, very unusual approach and cool! +That AppleInc/SteveJobs parody was COMPLETELY BRAINDEAD xD xD Cons: -Rushed Kaiju battles, especially versus Viras and Super-Gyaos -Mega OP attacks by Ga, as that Flying Saw, which completely makes its oppos pointless -Mostly boring Kaiju-reveals. Just remeber how the reveal of Kraken from the SI looked like - you really want to know how it looks, and then it finally emerges from the water, but here we only see suddenly appearing creatures. In GaRe its authors completely forgot what is Kaiju-reveal, which is a SEPARATE ART actually. (Just remember of the MonsterVerse movies Kaiju-reveals, espec Ghidorah and MG, so those ones are the separate events) -Many identical Kaiju-attacks as the Charge of energy around their bodies - Ga, Giras, Viras - almost all been doing the same shit, boring. -All of the Kaiju sounds/roars (which to me means A LOT since the MV approach) - is done badly. Mostly it's just pure usage of the already existing ones from far past, with not even trying to anyhow improve/replace it. Kaiju sounds=complete hackwork - 2 of 10! OVERALL: 7.8 of 10
This is the kaiju movie that I want to see. Ghidora is running from a bunch of other monsters and comes to earth seeking help from godzilla. He bows to godzilla, Earth is attacked by tens of kaiju from space. And there are seven or eight main ones... mothra comes on godzilla's left, then king kong on godzilla's right, then gamera in front and rodan hovering behind. And they fight, mothra and rodan are seriously injured, but the god, king and universal protector go on to stomp them out!
Rebirth Baragon idea: *spiked prehensile tongue he can swing around like a flail * a back covered in dark crystal prisms that can reflect light sources like the sun and other monster energy attacks into hyper deadly rainbow beams that shoot in multiple directions * a drools had a heat absorbing saliva that can be spat out to freeze object and leave them vulnerable to shattering. *resembles a mix of monitor lizards, thorny devils, and guila Monsters
That was a very insightful video. I admit that I enjoyed the anime a lot more that I thought I would, I only saw one Gamera movie before seeing the anime, but I might look up the other movies if I can. I found some parallels with the Marvel movies at the end of episode 6. How dare they bring back that shock I experienced from Avengers: Infinity War! 😱 Yet, the end of episode 6 also reminded me of the ending of Guardians of the Galaxy, which I can't explain because it's a spoiler. 😄 🤐
Do you think you can do a video maybe talking about season 2 if they decide to do a 2nd season maybe talking about the story and the last monsters Gamera can face off against like Iris who I think should be the final monsters since in my opinion is the most powerful Gamera monster, Barugon, Zedus and Legion, with maybe the order of appearance could like this Zedus, Barugon, Legion then Iris
To me I rank up and rate the amount of strength they had like The super strongest boss Super Gyoas The strongest trio Zigra Guiron Viras The weakest duo Gyoas Jiger
I still think gamera is the strongest 💪🏾 because gamera killed all of the monsters and gamera was fighting to the end so gamera is the true victure of victory so that is why he is the strongest one ever.
i really enjoy the show and i hope there's a season 2 and include the restof gamera kaiju enemies and even new ones. I think gamera rebirth is better than godzilla singular point
The gaos were by far the most grotesque horrific and realistic going from mini terrors eating humans to larger birds of prey whose lust for human flesh was insatiable...that gais with the glass in his eye was deserving of the bog big screen ❤❤❤

The writing could have been better, some of the dialogue is cringe, but overall this accomplishes what the Godzilla animes failed to do - the kaiju action wasn't pushed aside for the human story, and this FELT like Gamera!
are we gonna ignore how Guiron disrespected every building on that base, Guiron backs up and does a backflip before slicing anything
This new iteration of Gamera beat the shit out of every Kaiju with his bare hands and is now my favorite version.
guiron might not technically be the most powerful but he’s definitely one of if not the most potent kaiju
Can't believe barugon wasn't in the series, why the hell did they not include him.
Given the ending, there might possibly be another season, so we can probably expect Barugon, Legion, Iris, and others that weren't included if it happens.
Probably because of the name
@@Ratnoseterry his name has nothing to do with why he wasn't in s1
The director said they wanna save barugon for a potential s2
barugon sounds like baragon from toho so i see why they didn't select that kaiju@@Kaiju-bm4ts
@@joeysullivanTM and zilla and godzilla sound similar and yet toho allowed them both be in the movie and comic series (rulers of earth), names are hardly a factor as barugon and baragon are still different in terms of designs, powers and characters. The director stated he didn't add barugon in case a s2 happens
I agree with your rating and Gamera Rebirth was awesome!
3:38 Seriously, gamera only weighs 800 tons. That seems so underweight for a monster that's 197 feet tall.
Im just glad to see Gamera again
See Godzilla Singular Point? This is how you make a Kaiju anime
Hey dangerville can you make a video breakdown on shin ultraman kaijus and aliens from gomess to zetton i would love to see some ultraman content on this channel
I’m on episode 3 taking my time but I’m really enjoying Gamera Rebirth! Im not into Gamera as much as Godzilla but as of late it’s safe to say for me this kaiju needs his next big film! Maybe in the Monsterverse??..
i had no idea those guys were aliens, i assumed they were ancient humans or something
That may also be accurate, I perhaps spoke too soon by calling them aliens. Their origin isn’t actually explained, but humanoid aliens are just very common in the Kaiju genre so that’s what I rolled with.
@@DangerVille
You’re not wrong, it could be theorized that A Pre-established Alien society interbred with humans to create this advanced race. Which also explains the Kaijus.
I definitely would love to see a video about Gamera versus all of the monsterverse kaiju, and then Godzilla.
Knowing Gamera is officially coming back I can’t wait to see what’s in store for season 2.
Guiron he’s definitely the coolest one in my opinion, but I wouldn’t say is the most powerful but hey I’ve never seen the show
If you never seen the show then how do you know if he's not the strongest?
@@ivansanchez4993I respectfully disagree. Gamera fared well against these monsters, and ultimately beating them.
@@StareachValcin I mean yea he proved himself to be strong asf after being hurt so many times
@@ivansanchez4993 hence why Gamera is number 1 here.
Gamera is now officially stronger than Godzilla. The true Guardian of the Universe.
what did you guys think of the KYORYU OFFICIAL TRAILER it does look really good
I binged watch gamera rebirth it has really good kaiju designs
I need more gamera rebirth seasons
Best anime I've ever seen
One of my favorite kaiju from the show besides gamera was the mutated gyaos in the last episode I would say the most powerful kaiju from the show was viras imo.
Guiron is definitely my favorite one in Gamera rebirth, he’s so flexible and is like a ninja.
My Personal List is
1.Viras - Statements Back em up, Viras Surviving the pressure of Space, Anti-Gravity Abilities, Unfazed by Fireballs that Killed Characters like Zigra, and Gyaos, Could Taze and Freeze Gamera in place, Smacked Gamera to death, and IK he was Weakened but was still able to Tank the Anti-gravity Beam and fly to space, Meaning he wasn’t that Immensely Tired, and this was after bro got The beating only my Mother could copy, yes I can confirm my mother has 8 arms that all have electrical Chanclas, I’m built different.
2.Guiron - Very close but He could only cut one of Gameras arms, While Viras Held back Gamera and his other arm with No difficulty. Shurikens aren’t gonna do anything to Viras
3.Zigra - His Intelligence and Ability to Damage and previously take down Gamera for a while is enough to take down the other 3, also Can glide and his tail could literally wrap around the other 3 and Take em down to the Depths of Hell, 🧇
4.Jiger - Stunned and Took down a completely fine Gamera
5. S Gyaos - Couldn’t Beat a Massively Weakened Gamera
6. Gyaos - Do I need to explain.
If I forgot one, means they were Fodder or I’m just dumb, mb.
Also Gamera is Number 0 meaning The obvious Number 1.
Nice video, I would agree with your ranking. And it's nice to see you guys talk about Gamera: Rebirth. 🙂👍🐢
Gamera can resist guiron's attacks but gamera accidentally shot his blade making it more heated and deadlier
In my opinion:
1. Guiron
2. Viras
3. Zigra (underwater)
4. Super Gyaos
5. Jiger
6. Zigra (land)
7. Gyaos
Good distinction between land Zigra and water Zigra. He really was getting the Jump on Gamera in their water battle
@@GreaterGrievobeast55 yea Zigra underwater would give the majority if not all of the kaijus here a run for their money
This is my first glance at Gamera Rebirth: WOW!!! The designs are on the mark, exciting and beyond expectation!!! Good video!!!
I haven’t watched this yet. Never been a fan of anime adaptations of properties that are already known for live action. But I will definitely give it a shot. I was let down by the Godzilla anime trilogy and let down by Singular Point. Hopefully this doesn’t also.
Honestly this has everything I wanted in those Godzilla anime series
I think we all were let down by the two Godzilla anime. But seriously, give Gamera: Rebirth a chance. This time they don't push the monsters aside for the human story.
Godzilla the series was an animated sequel to godzilla 1998 and look at how much better it was as a result.....tokusatsu isn't just limited to live action. Same goes to marvel and DC not just being limited to comics as they been adapted into cartoons/anime, live action shows/movies and games
The fights were just amazing!!😭😭🤩🤩🤩🤟🤟
Such a good show, my favourite part was the monster designs, gamers revenge of Iris was my favourite design, but now it has been beaten by sooo far.
I like how much they changed jiger
Dangerville video on my birthday 🔥
The real winner was my boy, Guiron - from one of the goofiest monsters, here he was like an Evil Samurai Jack of kaiju: Leaping all over the place with the blade., and was the first to reallt gut Gamera in serious way.
Guiron too is my favorite, imagine the navy facing this very agile kaiju, probably hitting nothing, and considering its very sharp knife head, any man made metal weeapon is no match to guiron
I’m happy that gamera is getting some love
I think this series is great. I love the new Kaiju designs. Now only f the old movies were like this :)
Friendly pointer- Guiron is pronounced "Gee-Ron"
Guiron's Japanese name Giron (ギロン) is most likely a truncation of the Japanese word for guillotine, girochin (ギロチン)
If Season 2 gets confirmed, would like to see their take on Barugon, Legion, Irys, and Zedus.
I 90% agree. the only question is how effective viras' shield again melee attacks and can the tentacles regrow if cut off.
My guy both showa, heisei and rebirth gamera all suffered similar injuries, all 3 getting stabbed through the shell and walking away from it
Baby gamera at the end of the series is so cute and then instead of Roaring they sounds like they are squeaking
Is some of this just my favoritism for Zigra showing? Potentially but I still think it’s worth consideration.
I think youre right
Guiron. I’m not the biggest Gamera fan, but Guiron is one of the slickest Kaiju designs I’ve seen in a long while. That Kaiju means business.
I love this anime and I agree with your rankings, but I wish they put Barugon in the show he was the very first kaiju Gamera ever fought.
I want a season 2 featuring legion, iris and barugon
If something is super huge moving hundreds of miles an hour, seeing the whole picture from a distance allows the movement to appear slow: a ship beaching full speed doesn't appear quick until beach explodes, we know how fast flying sand is: monsters judo-flipping to the ground happens so quickly, it ruins the effect: at their size, a fast punch should make vapor-trails; at that distance, bass-sound should travel up from the ground, while sound traveling through air takes time; footsteps should squeeze ground water from the soil.
Guiron at number 1 makes sense tho 💯👏🏾✨️😀. Awesome video!
Gamera from Gamera rebirth easily defeats the monsterverse. A building falling on it chopped male mutos leg of so he can saw them all in half
Guiron is definitely my No. 1. My 4-year old godson likes Jiger best because of his sword tail but he loves all of them.
Gamera rebirth is awesome and the kajiu are powerful, mythical and scary compared to Evangelion, attack and titans and blood c this and Godzilla singular point are some of truest kajiu ever made
Probably Viras for sure. But i loved Jiger and Guiron they were awesome😀💯👏🏾. I loved how brutally Gamera took out Viras that was Epic ⚡️👏🏾💯🙌🏾😀.
Guiron was never one of my favorites but man, they turned him into such a dangerous foe in this show
Obviously Gamera himself 🔥🔥🔥🐢
If u think about it, viras was able to do what killed gamera effortlessly. The lightning of hemden is also an op orylium laser that can shoot into space. And everyone acts like he’s more op than guiron, S-gyaos, and gamera. And if he was able to do that like it was nothing, he might be the most op. And that force field would just render guiron useless. Just that guiron was the most efficient
11:35 aliens? What aliens? They are just humans two of which just so happen be descendants of an ancient civilization.
The scene were gamera turns into a Statue and just turn into dust on the last episode of gamera made my heart tear apart
My favorite part is Gyaos hyper scalpel blast away the military away. Also looks more similar to Godzillas Earth Atomic breath.
Gamera Kong Na Godzilla vs every other kaiju... now that would be fun
Gamera Rebirth is quite an un-expected well done teenage-kaiju cartoon series:
Pros:
+Comparing to Skull Island - in GaRe we can see LOTS BETTER Kaiju and Human characters development and discovering
+Quite properly written narrative with respect to the original Lore of this universe
+Quite interesting and unusual theme of American-Japanese interaction/history, which comes in many ways: an American bully who bites younger japanese kids (BigAmerica vs Small Japan) like a link to WW2 events, later becoming their main alliace (like in real life). Interaction between the US and Japan military, which led to the big success. So, Kaiju-theme was created in these two countries, started with Kong1933, continued with MonsterFromBeneath-1952, which inspired and led to Gojira 1956. These themes can be seen in the cartoon directly and in-directly.
+Much more than 1.5 Kaiju Battles comparing to Skull-Island
+SURPRISINGLY LOTS OF PLOT-TWISTS!!
+Spectacular fight against BladeHead(aka Guiron)
+Left so much stuff for the possible future series development
+Gamera uses fire-balls out of his mouth instead of the mediocre muzzle beam.
+That AppleInc/SteveJobs parody was COMPLETELY BRAINDEAD xD xD
Cons:
-Rushed Kaiju battles, especially versus Viras and Super-Gyaos
-Mega OP attacks by Ga, as that Flying Saw, which completely makes its oppos pointless
-Mostly boring Kaiju-reveals. (Just remember of the MonsterVerse movies Kaiju-reveals, espec Ghidorah and MG, so those ones are the separate events)
-Many identical Kaiju-attacks as the Charge of energy around their bodies - Ga, Giras, Viras - almost all been doing the same shit, boring.
Technically, Gamera uses plasma.
Ima need y’all to do more Gamera content
I think it was a TOTAL missed opportunity not to include Barugon.
How would you vision him in Rebirth?
Rebirth Baragon idea:
*spiked prehensile tongue he can swing around like a flail
* a back covered in dark crystal prisms that can reflect light sources like the sun and other monster energy attacks into hyper deadly rainbow beams that shoot in multiple directions
* a drools had a heat absorbing saliva that can be spat out to freeze object and leave them vulnerable to shattering.
*resembles a mix of monitor lizards, thorny devils, and guila Monsters
Godzilla: Hmm I'm still better though
but you've earned my respect
To me I rank up and rate the amount of strength they had like
The super strongest boss
Super Gyoas
The strongest trio
Zigra
Guiron
Viras
The weakest duo
Gyoas
Jiger
I still think gamera is the strongest 💪🏾 because gamera killed all of the monsters and gamera was fighting to the end so gamera is the true victure of victory so that is why he is the strongest one ever.
This series is a great sequel to the 90s movies.
i really enjoy the show and i hope there's a season 2 and include the restof gamera kaiju enemies and even new ones.
