Thanks for your informative video. Is it correct that some aluminum alloys will anneal with heating and quenching like 3003, while others will anneal after heating only, and quenching these alloys will actually temper them?
@@dragonflyfab9703 I tend to stick with what I have experience in. Unless for some reason I can't get 3003, I would try 5 series on a limited basis. Because I work with both 3 series and 1100 on a regular basis, I know how they behave...I also use 1100 rod which is a large part of how the seams look if you polish. nothing worse than a discolored line on your parts...
yeah you are one of my favorite channels dropping knowledge
Es un gusto presenciar su trabajo ,

Great tip mate👍🏻
Great advice 👍🏻
Sharpies are alcohol-based markers
Dumb question: Would this be a good method for bending/shaping aluminum T-edging?
If I understand your question I would use a flanging tool.
We used soap at trade school back in the 70s
What did u use the soap for; checking temperature?
What temperature does soap indicate?
Smart.
5052?
Yes. I haven’t yet annealed it but I omitted classifying it as an alloy you can anneal. Thanks for the observation.
