My mother’s dietitian recently told her to cut gluten out of her diet for health reasons. Your videos have been a great help for making the “Places mom can eat on vacation” list! Thank you!

With a lot of "gluten-free" dishes, they tend to try to remove the gluten out of the ingredients or substitute it. I like how this restaurant chooses to instead throw that out and use a different ingredient instead (brown rice noodles). Although, I feel that they should've used white rice noodles as brown rice has a duller flavor due to its bran and germ and the fact that it's just white rice with the shell. But if that were the case, then you'd just be eating pho noodles! Hahaha!

Dayuuuum! Sarah! You got a lot of food! Shame that Japanese restaurants don't do take out.

From memory Udon noodles never really soak up the flavour and it was the chewy texture that I loved. As a Confirmed Coliacs / Celiacs. I have not had Udon noodles for almost 15 years. But I wish this place was near me in Australia. It would be expensive as they bring up the prices here for a cheap ingredient like rice and corn. I brought a Ham and salad gluten free roll for $12 dollars... The only difference was the bread they used. It tasted great the roll. But I still felt ripped off.

Great news! Thank goodness for the GF/salt version as I can't eat soy either.

I miss this place so much! When I came to Japan in 2019 to study at Waseda, I came here every other day! The karaage. 🤤

Hope you guys had a good Thanksgiving. I suppose fried chicken _sort of_ ticks the turkey-dinner box.

Is its romanized/english name on Google Maps different from "Hokkaido Sapporo Noodle"? I wasn't able to find an exact match just from that. Would definitely like to make a note of it

Last time I was there, I noticed they cooked the noodles in the same water as regular gluten-having noodles. So if you are very very sensitive, maybe not :(
