Maggie's Manchester | Foster and Partners

Since it opened in April 2016, Maggie's Manchester has supported tens of thousands of people through the challenges of a cancer diagnosis. This film features the perspectives of those who work, volunteer, signpost, visit, and use the building in different ways.
The project had personal meaning to Lord Foster, one of the leading architects of his generation, who was born in the city and who experienced first-hand the distress of a diagnosis.
Arranged over a single storey, the natural timber structure incorporates natural light, deep canopies, and clear views out to nature. Set in a peaceful garden, the centre design draws on natural themes that engage the outdoors through the difference spaces of the building.

There is a lot of Sacred Geometry in the design which is not well known. It likely gives it the special atmosphere that it has as well an inherent healing quality. There is a video studying the geometry of the building on my channel.
