I've been checking out a bunch of SOR videos of late and this one's up there in my top 10. What a great performance. Kudos to all with special call out to lead vocals, drums, keys, and lead guitar. Wow I wish I was playing w/ y'all!
It is absolutely evident everyone in the venue is losing it and having fun along with the band, which is killing the instrumentals and rocking the Joe Cocker vibe. This was indeed most excellent, dudes. KDM
You Young Bloods sound GREAT!!! You carry the Mantle of ROCK apon your young shoulders into the Next Generation, Please don't let ANYTHING STOP YOU!!! 🎸💚
Great performance, made me cry. Just watching the keyboard player is worth the price of admission. Lol. The beatles, and mr Cocker would be delighted. Thank God for music good, bad, and otherwise.
Don't you kids (yes kids sorry lol). Listen to anyone else. I had to close my eyes and listen to it. That's what it's all about the feeling of music. ROCK ON!!!!
I just watched the original Joe Cocker Woodstock performance again for the first time in a while, it was amazing. He didn't sing all of the lyrics, the background group did most of the question parts and he answered and filled in between with jibberish.
Christ that was good. Guitarist was Leon Russell reincarnated, everyone else looked like they were having a great time - one of the best covers I've ever seen
The reason why no one covers this is you got to get it right or else it's going to really suck. Takes a lot of guts even to attempt covering this song. The band had some of the finest musicians ever and Joe Cocker had a voice from God. Good job.
I like school of rock. But some songs you need to feel the pain of the song. Joe knows what that is. But I will always listen to theses kids singing. Just the old songs, never the new crap.
Isn't the dude playing guitar with the buzz cut and glasses the same dude that did Megadeth's Tornado of Souls solo for a high school talent show video on youtube??
Possibly. All of these musicians were 18 years of age or less, and were members of their local School of Rock "house band" and most of them participated in their own bands, and in high school bands.
Been a bit behind in seeing the videos by these guys, but all that I have seen so far I have loved and these guys (and gals) are so bloody talented. Although I do have to ask, the guy playing the Roland VR-09 keyboard, it looks like at 6 Mins in the video line he got so carried away he nearly fell of the stage!, Keep up the good work guys
this makes me wish this was a studio version for the ladies vocals to really shine w/o crappy acoustics. they would have absolutely killed this in a studio version imo.
Very nice, but would have liked to see girl in red top give it a go, her voice is more suited IMO, but the best version I have seen from SOR is a kid named Andrew W...................that kid reincarnated Joe Cocker
A few years back there was a kid at the Oak Park School of Rock named Cooper, who could channel different performers. I got the impression that he was shy, and would only come alive on stage. Here's his performance of feeling alright from Oak Park's Woodstock show. The musicianships not quite AllStar level, but his vocal was: th-cam.com/video/68PRAtFjF-Y/w-d-xo.html
Joe Crocker would lose it if he saw this Awesome Shit. Absolutely Amazing tribute to the Song and the Man, the Myth and the LEGEND... Joe Cocker... You kids are all going straight to Rock & Roll Heaven.
Great reading of With a Little Help. IMHO, the backup singer in blue would be my pick for singing Cocker's lead. She had all his "I move to catch the energy" moves happening. Is that Silent Jay, or his twin, on bass? MCV... too bad you couldn't get the soundboard feed - the vocals were almost completely lost. Overall, sounded like Dad brought his video cam along to film the show. >:(
The sound guy totally messed up my soundboard feed. Normally, I got an excellent one from this venue. But they had a different guy who I never worked with before.
@@MidWestConcertVideo2 Dude! What're you doing to me? Not like they'll repeat the show... Assuming only one mic, why not place it near a speaker? Stereo mix x 2. Oh well, lost is lost.
Honestly, this was captured with a pair of microphones, excellent ones, in the balcony aimed at the speakers. It sounded like this coming off the speakers.
In 2018 the School of Rock released the list of all of the AllStars teams, but in 2019 they did not. I would have added them if I'd had it because I view these all stars videos as the first publicity for a bunch of future professionals.
The girl singer with the black and white hooped top - Aden Black : Drummer - Nate : Blonde guitarist with the black lacey top - the one and only Maggie (normally plays bass guitar). All from "I want you to want me"! Watch it because it's sensational!!!
Loved the energy from the whole band! However, the girl with the camouflage pants, they should have turn the volume up on her mic. I could barely hear her most of the performance. Nice job though!!
This is what I missed growing up. A community of amazing talented musicians. Excellent job!!
I don't think I'm the only one who had a tear of joy watching this.
Absolutely love how much all these young people are into rock long live “ Rock and Roll” thank god
I know. I can’t stop watching these School Of Rock videos, just for that reason.
Comme j'aurai aimé pouvoir faire comme ces jeunes apprentis musiciens quand j'avais leur âge dans les années 70'!
Wow outstanding
Everyone on this stage gave 100% of their heart and soul in this outstanding performance!! BRAVO !!!!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
❤️
Couldn't agree more all these young people enjoy trying to do music from 50 yrs ago. Keeping rock and roll alive thank you
OUTSTANDING!!!!!!! Look like an entire stage of Joe Cocker's
Beautiful version from the younger generation. Best of luck all of you. You’re all awesome
Wow Wow Wow !!!!! made my day .Thanks Kids
So many beautiful young people in this group. I love the passion they put into every note. 👍👍
Cent pour cent d'accord !
Awesome job! Joe would be proud! Keep rocking!
every single one of them should remember and be proud of this performance for the rest of their lives
The energy and enthusiasm... worth the price of admission... Enjoy you kids so very much!!!. Thank You!!!
3 yrs. late here but it gives me faith in our children........
I felt the energy you put into this! Rock N Roll Lives On!!!

Fantastic energy up there! Rock on
That intro was worth waiting for! Well done!
So good to hear you all, keep going!!! Don't stop!!!
Absolutely killed it guys!
TORE IT UP AND MADE IT THEIR OWN!!!!!! LOVED IT!!!
Magical, beautiful, high quality rock and roll. Keep it up!
Great job. Felt the energy pouring off the screen. Rock lives on
There is so much talent in this group. They run right over you. Great job!!
I am now comfortable that rock music will live on, and on, and on......talent on stage here will carry the torch.👍✌️
Brad Nelson! Well sayed
I was going to say that!!
Love these kids! They are phenominal!!!😍🙏
I second that!
Great ensemble. Well done, guys!
It was barely organized chaos; just like Mad Dogs and Englishman. Well done kids! Well done indeed. Joe would be very proud.
That was crazy good.
Kiitos kaikille 🌹❤️
You Young Bloods sound GREAT!!!

OHHHH HELL YEAH!!!!
The whole Band feeling Joe. I love the enthusiasm.

Excelent!
WOW!
Great job!!!!
Excellent! + + +
AWSOME! sublime!!!
Great performance, made me cry. Just watching the keyboard player is worth the price of admission. Lol. The beatles, and mr Cocker would be delighted. Thank God for music good, bad, and otherwise.
Amazing!
Bravo
omg its absolutely fantastic performt
Great job!
This is not Joe Cocker's version, it's not the original Beatles' version, it is their own version, and it is AMAZING!
tThe future is bright and the stars of that future are right here blessings to all of u !!!!
Awesome!
GREAT cover!! Its amazing that they do this so well considering that when the Beatles did this their parents probably weren't even born yet. Love It 👍
Wonderfull!
NOW THAT"S MUSIC, 2019 !!
Fantastic cover of my home band the Beatles aka Joe cocker best wishes from Liverpool uk
I like it. great Performance. Action on Stage. Great job. thx
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Great stuff! 👍👍👌👊🤘🤘🤘🤘
Excellent job !!! Rock on my people !!!
KEEP ON ROCKING xxxx
I thought this was not gonna be any good...i was wrong, Great by the whole team ...thanks for the nostalgic feelings again
Amazing fellings!!
Looking like Joe Cocker’s spirit was channeling each person on that stage .. oh what end of the golden times late 60s early 70s
Felicitaciones porque. Lo. Cantaron. Con. El. Corazón. Todos. Bravo. Juan. De. Arg.
Is Joe still alive? I hope so. In my humble opinion, he would be very proud of these young people. I am!
Bravoooo.
excellent song-writers-singers-musicians=well done=Trinity bless everyone with good safe healthy days
Making history!
Great job Joe would approve
Looking forward to 'School of Rock,' the musical, coming to a theatre near me, someday ?
I honestly don't know. I'm not a fan of the TV show or the Broadway production... I'm just a fan of the real thing which predated all of them.
super..............
Those drums!!!
Don't you kids (yes kids sorry lol). Listen to anyone else. I had to close my eyes and listen to it. That's what it's all about the feeling of music. ROCK ON!!!!
joe cocker would have been proud to see that energy on stage
great Perfomance
That was fucking amazing. I was moved.
I just watched the original Joe Cocker Woodstock performance again for the first time in a while, it was amazing. He didn't sing all of the lyrics, the background group did most of the question parts and he answered and filled in between with jibberish.
I remember reading or watching a interview with Cocker and he said he couldnt remember anything from Woodstock:)
@@RawPower7 NO KIDDING!! He was so high! But to his credit he invented the air guitar craze!
Im back. this give me a charge
Felt like I was tripping watching this.. lol
Oh my lord that was so fucking good that gave me goosebumps holy shit
Whoever was running the board, MESSED THIS UP!
The vocals, especially the lead singer, was lost in the mix!
AWESOME JOB by the performers! :)
Also, the one keyboardist! This isn't the first time her playing has been ignored.
Which lead singer?? There's four!!!
This is a live mix, not separate studio tracks.
Christ that was good. Guitarist was Leon Russell reincarnated, everyone else looked like they were having a great time - one of the best covers I've ever seen
Leon played piano !!!
The guy on the organ is excellent. And the girl on the piano rocks too!

I think Joe Cocker and Ringo Starr will be proud.
What's with the bad sound recording/mix?

Hey mixer,
What happened to the lead vocals?
There is enough energy on that stag to power New York City!
this makes me wish this was a studio version for the ladies vocals to really shine w/o crappy acoustics. they would have absolutely killed this in a studio version imo.
So it is with live performances. I've played videos with much worse acoustics and crowd noise.
Very nice, but would have liked to see girl in red top give it a go, her voice is more suited IMO, but the best version I have seen from SOR is a kid named Andrew W...................that kid reincarnated Joe Cocker

Great song passionately performed. Loved it! And it was lucky the son of the drummer from the Black Keys was on drums. 🤪
The Wonder years...
My favorite is the girl doing the Cocker motions…good for her haha.
The keybord boy is a prodigy!
How do we find the names of this very talented group? I've googled everywhere.
In 2018 the School of Rock released the list of all of the AllStars teams, but in 2019 they did not. I would have added them if I'd had it because I view these all stars videos as the first publicity for a bunch of future professionals.
You have five girls who could sing anyone under the table!!
Where is the list of names of participants? I see a few that I've seen in other videos, but don't know the names.
I unfortunately didn't get setlists from every team.
