The following are the steps to program the PWK-250 wireless keypad: Enter master programming mode: *888888#, enter 01#, enter your 4-digit PIN twice, each time followed by the # sign. Enter **# to exit programming. Press XMITTER Learn on the system board, enter you 4-digit pin following by the # sign. If you are using the LA-400 system board, you don't have to program the frequency; both 314 MHz and 390 MHz will be recognized. I am not a technitian but comprehensive and accurate information are important. Unfortunately, most instructional videos do not live up to this standard.

Don, the keypad works like a clicker and works only with Liftmaster products. If your community has a Liftmaster operator, you can directly program your HomeLink in your car with your clicker.

Hello Sergio! Yes, that is correct. The KPW5 is only compatible with the frequency 2.0 plus. You will need to purchase the KPW250 keypad as this keypad is Universal and will function with all generation of Chamberlain/LiftMaster equipments.
