Awesome! My family had an antique business a long time ago, and we purchased so much holiday memories over the years. I love seeing these lit up - I can almost smell the boxes.
I love vintage lighting. Especially those old bulbs that had different colored shaped filaments. Truly an art. Thank you for sharing your collection and jolly cheer.
What an absolutely beautiful old-fashioned Christmas incandescent C6, C7, C9, and mini light sets! Also, those old-fashioned globe fluorescent Christmas lights are mind-blowing!! I sure wish they still made those. Thanks for sharing and have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
@@theantiquefanatic Well, being new to working in stained glass I can't really call myself an artist. Just dabble in it as a spare time hobby at this point. Oh, and we had NOMA bubble lights back in the 1940s, '50s, and '60s when my older sisters and I were growing up.
See if you can get some out of the jars and test them. They might just be a jar of duds, but if they work there's spares for years even if some are damaged.
Thanks so much for sharing your collection and taking the time to go through the history.
@@loveswidescreen You’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed!

We had bubble lights! So fun
@@cub35guy Oh yeah! They’re lots of fun!
Modern light strings have 2 fuses in the plug that will blow if the lights overheat.

I remember as a kid, when the Christmas Tree lights were illuminated, they had their own smell, fragrance. Not unpleasant.

As a novice stained glass hobbyist, just had to say I love your stained glass window by the stairway.
@@shortliner68 Well thank you!! Have a matching one in the parlor. What is a stained glass hobbyist?

@@shortliner68 Well, asked because I suspected that answer. I guess I am one too. I’ve worked on a few pieces myself under the tutorage of a master.
Gay-Lites seem pretty cool.
