Since this took place someone took to twitter saying they were paid off & have since sparked lots of Drama within the Counter-Strike Community. Are SKINS the problem? Or is it the fact that valve wont do anything? Today’s video we give a brief OVERVIEW of the 2024 Copenhagen Major incident and Give my thoughts of what Valve may or may NOT do about the future of Counter-Strike Skins.

What do YOU guys think? (I think valve could ban users of gamba sites & give a warning on the sign in page with Steam)
Nah unenforceable as users would have mule steam accounts and trade the won skins to their main accounts
Valve should weild the ban hammer and go after the people that did this.
Agreed
Nah not their problem people are dumb and trust unlicenced sites
@@Xxxjoelh4xxx This is about their actions at the event. That is another different matter. For what they did they should absolutely be held accountable otherwise someone will try it again. This would send a clear message. Mess around and find out.
They will ban the legit players instead of the cheaters 😂
Next move better be F*cking anti-cheat or I'm out.
Agreed. I'm already playing other games until they add it.
I agree! So many hackers feels like the old CS… i paid money for this game to play fair not hackers.
just start cheating yourself so we get a full hvh counterstrike böhöhöhö
@@joewhiteofficial no, that's lame. I play the game to get better then others. If I cheat ill just not have fun.
FUCKING ANTICHEAT VALVE FOR FUCK SAKES RN
Valve anti cheat not working IRL as well...
Valve should take legal action to take their site down. maybe this sends a message clear enough to not f with them and avoid similar instances in future events.
I don't think they care that much to go to the court with them.
Cant dosent brake tos
If they take one site down, then all should follow and problem solved...
gamba sites break user agreement
All this little stunt did is reveal Monarch for the terrible person he is.
Best thing valve can do is get rid of fees when selling skins... Sure they dont profit as much but they get a surge in foot traffic.
"Purchased and traded Counter-Strike items will not be visible to other users who view your Steam Inventory for 10 days."
Other games have proven that you can have a steady flow of income with a regular store as long as you keep making content for it, but gambling with lootboxes and the market are staples of CS at this point and even trying to change it would cause an uproar within the community. As long as lootboxes, the market, and trading exists, these sites will as well. It's just unfortunate that the arms deal update keeps digging a hole under Valve despite it being the update that saved CSGO back then.
FUCK GAMBLING WE NEED ANTICHEAT!
Valve's next move should be anti-cheat...
operation in december 100% mark my comment :D
Today i had 5 games of wingman and 5 Spinbots 😂😂
They're too dumb for that.

@@LukeEats lemme check

...nope, not a cat.
skins may be the worst thing to happen to cs but i can say the game would not be anywhere near the state it has been in without skins it would have been in the dust (2) many year ago
tbh the amount of apathy surrounding cs skins is pretty worrying, it’s like people have just totally accepted that valve can profit from unregulated gambling (opening cases) + market fees. Make piss poor attempts to remove 3rd party gambling sites. Release a barely finished alpha of CS2 with the worst cheating problem i have ever seen in over 9+ years of playing. Valve succumbed to greed years ago, this is a private company they have no investors to please, yet every year it seems like every decision regarding CS is about maximising profit for the smallest amount of work possible.
The incorrect statement is G2 is still quietly sponsored by CSGORoll still. Not enough people know this
Luke were you alone on the major? Somehow think i recognized your voice, but i wasnt sure. 😅
So it’s in the steam tos that we aren’t allowed to gamble for skins? I guess I never read that before lol
They make way to much money, I don't see them doing anything other than sending some cease and desist.
That CS Roll video of the kid walking into the "casino" literally killed me with cringe. I'm dead now, thanks.
😂😂
💀
all they had to do is 3d print a new one lol that took like few hours
if they ban the gabling websites im not playing this game anymore, as its the only fun the game has anymore its pretty much dead at this point.
Maybe go to a real casino
exactly game trash gamba fun
Skins might cause issue but without them the game would have died a long time ago.
Its not skins that ruined the game, its the encouraged real money gambling kids are offered, with counter strike cases. Ridiculous but shiny odds
If these sites get banned, a lot of people will lose money on pending bets and refund will be almost impossible to do .
And ?
so what? using any 3rd party site is at your own risk, and Valve owns your skins. you dont own the skins. Valve can literally remove your right to use them at any time for any reason. lil pup
@@Oliverii really? I dare Val to use that argument to erase my account without proper cause . Phantomlord got hit by that from Twitch and he won the appeal . Get up with the gray zone of the law.
@@nerdytoby8107 opskins was biggest skinsite before u even knew cs, it died in 12 hours because valve didnt want it to exist. 👌 millions banned and money lost from customers.
I honestly hope they ban anyform of skin gambling sites etc
I hope our governments will find a way to deal with these illegal online casino sites. Valve can't do shit.
assisto todos os vídeos, são muito bons! Manda um salve pro Brasil, meu querido! (just google translate it) haha
1._ take legal action for put in jail for atleast 24 hours to the responsables
2._ ban their bots this way they dont secure any skin
3._ receive after that with a dmca to gambling sites, they realize their bots are banned so theres no way they can paid the dmca in court so they are forced to totally quit
Valve has enought money to hire 1 or 2 people to look out for those sites. This could destroy the biggest and most popular sites and make it harder for other sites to get a lot of users. Also valve could make a statement that they can ban your account if it was logged on to the illigal/banned site. Gabe can't delete those sites but can make it much harder to operate.
I just don't think valve cares enough lol
@@LukeEats valve knows that being passive is the best way to operate, let the users figure things out.
If anything happens, valve will like try to regulate it with more rules then outright bans. In real life banning something outright just causes a illegal ring to develop, as you said likely 48 hours after more sites would pop up. This regulating I think would be hitting orgs who take deals from "shady" websites more regulated ones would likely be ok.
I believe it's more so the possibility of kids gambling that worries everyone like with CSGO lounge back in the day. If valve want to sort this out, once and for all, they will take their time to come up with something that will stick.😅
There's a solid chance Valve will just simply not talk about it and take no public action. They won't ban trading considering the skin-focused players are their #1 source of revenue.
HOW ABOUT IDGAF ABOUT THAT GUY ON STAGE, GET ANTICHEAT. Lmao
do you guys think I would help if trading was only possible with steam friends?
I've said this before, maybe add them and you have to stay friends for a week and solves half the shady issues
remove trading you will have a dead game like valorant.. just leave gambling alone and take down people who don't have license...
EXACTLY! someone with good mind
I never knew it was that deep😂 imma do some research now bc I didint even knew G2 was with cs roll
Yessir last year
Ye i think having a cheater in every game is more of a problem for the longevity of the game
cheating problem is made up, there are no cheaters in my games.
@@Rudy97 aint even gonna enter a discussion with you mate...
1. April good one!
I wish
Saying CS2/Source2 wouldn't have happened if not for skins is just adding to the reasons skins suck lol. RIP CSGO. Imagine spending actual time and money on subtick when you could have just went with 128 tick servers and spent the time/effort on an actual anti cheat. Absolutely brutal execution fail.
I would make everyone cheat remotely in a tournament so they can see how good is their Anti-cheat lmo.😂
35 % is more like 5%
I'll never understand how "protesters" think causing a scene and wasting peoples time is going to make people interested in their cause. Even if what theyre saying is true, Storming the stage and delaying the major is just going to make everyone hate you😂.
I enjoyed the extra drama. It was funnt
csgo is a game where it brings alot people in for me i like the game for the content but mostly for skins i like collecting fn guns and holo stickers some other guy will do cases game lets you choose the path if the banned trading what the point of me doing all of that ?? i would just play few games a week if that
Valves needs to filter hackers!… so many of them. ANTI HACKING!!!
Ban gambling allow tradeing
Praying they bring the game more in line with what CS:GO felt like because it was obviously working and there was no need to "fix" it. I was really looking forward to CS2 when it was announced but it really was another Overwatch 2 scenario in the end. Me and the boys were having so much fun during the last few months of CS:GO, and now we barely even want to play the game anymore because it just feels like a straight downgrade from every angle. I'm genuinely sad that this rushed mess of a game replaced it.
Its simple; all trades happen ONLY through steam and their market. No 3rd party sites for trading or gambling. Allow users to withdraw money from steam with some restrictions and increase the max price for items. This removes those offshore unlicensed casinos altogether while also cracks down on trade scamming through 3rd party sites. Now that the playerbase has skyrocketed, phishing and scammers have taken their actions even to official matchmaking. How do I know? It happened today.
No websites are using bots of their own anymore. All trades on 99% of websites, regardless of what type are P2P and therefore all through Steam.
Down for them to just continuously ban all these gambling and case opening sites at least. Crazy how many people have gambling problems from this and like sports betting and what not.
Monesy is joke
Just attach the skins to the account it will solve all the issues
They should do a COD approach, where the skins and bundles have a set value and can never be traded outside of steam. 👍
until you can sell it sure but another problem trade ups @@JD-773
because of tradeup and diffrent skin conditions pluis floats you cant have set prices on skins

I thought you Europeans love rushing soccer fields and laughing at streakers during sports games. I thought the dude running on stage was hilarious and even more funny when the “players” feared for their lives. Haha it’s one dude. Not someone of a middle eastern ethnicity running up with a backpack. 😂😂😂
Remember people sasying "nobody will watch majors without drops"? Yeah, take your "skins saved CS" bullshit and shove it where it belongs. Patches and bugfixes saved CSGO. And from the numbers publicly available, most people spend a couple of bucks per year at most, and don't really give a shit about skins.
most people play weekly for drops man if skinns become wortless a lot of players either drop the game or go to play other shooters with less cheaters
If there would be no skin drops then I wouldn't even play it. Same with the major last time I watched one was in like 2016 I think. Back then it wasnt an absolute waste of time to watch majors atleast.
@@inasatok Same at this point the weekly drop is the only thing really keeping me playing it. It just sucks you have to go through the dredge of cheaters at present.
@@oOignignoktOo1 with drops atleast I know it wasnt a waste of time to get through 13+ games just to entertain some pathetic cheating kid. I know thats atleast I get some xp to get my drop.
Come on Valve BAN all gambling aponsors, Case sites, and 3rd party skin site's!! We support you dropping the hammer 🔨 . Its time to put restrictions on the API and how we can trade items. Everything needs to remain in the Steam marketplace only.
SO you would ban skinport? and wax peer? if any of these sites go down cs2 dies lmao
@@rossmackenzie2367 YES. After that Valve gets back to work and adds all the pre 2017 maps and game modes. Going back to the roots and away from this shitty place Counter Strike is in now. Back to fun game modes, Coop missions, Operations etc..
