Almost half of Singapore 's population are foreigners. All the sales staff, waiters, cashiers etc are mostly foreigners. That's why most of them are clueless.
SG doesnt do fake/pirated goods and 90-95% of the shop keepers at Bugis Street are from Malaysia, China, Vietnam. The best way to drink brown sugar bubble tea is not to shake it....The auntie is clueless lol.
You did find quality at a great price. I remember "Peninsula Plaza" having some football Jerseys. YES, Singapore Law comes down Hard on anyone selling fakes.
This video is a showcase of Singapore market place Good choice of colour- T-shirt that you bought looks good . Are you planning to visit Orchards Street Shops? This reminds me in Sydney - market like this .. David, thanks mate for the raw content .
Hello David! I just want to share a bit of information with you. Don't get too hung up on "original" or copied (made somewhere in Asia). I've learned this years ago while shopping inside a "Ralph Lauren" store in San Diego, California, and even in one of the major department stores. I found a knit shirt which I think was superbly made, with fine stitching, and very soft cotton. When I look inside the label for size, the other label attached to it says "Made in the Philippines" hahaha! Then another time, it was made in India. Basketball shoes, AT A NIKE STORE that I am buying for my niece in the Philippines (I was going there for a vacation), the latest style, cost a lot of money, MADE IN CHINA... for myself, on a different store, I was lucky to find Puma shoes made in the US. Otherwise, the majority of designer brands here in the US are made somewhere in Asia.
When you go back to the Philippines go to 168 mall in Divisoria, Manila or Greenhills Mall for knock offs you have more choices than the streets of Quiapo
divisoria is very very sketch... my ex was a local and even the local ppl cut her bag from the bottom and lost her wallet cuz she was with a "dayuhan" as for green hills i bought like 12 chanel j12 chrono in white ceramic or 35 a piece talked them down from 60 at diff vendors... ended up selling them as replicas for 300 a piece at a local flea market in st louis area... i think the watches is the only thing worth to buy personally... if u know the watches well anyways and STAY AWAY FROM QUIAPO!!!!! my ex brother in law took me there once n carried a gun... and my ex yelled at him to bring me there... tho that was back in 2009 maybe its changed? quiapo and tondo U DONT TREAD ON!!
u can change the sugar % for bbt. the sweetness of the sugar % varies on the stores u go to as some stores sugar % is sweeter than others. i usually order mine 25% at chicha san chen. if u like tea, their green tea is really good.
Quality has been really good surprisingly! A lot better than other shirts that I have which is nice. A real original one? Yeh perhaps SGD 100, but I have seen them for even way more in Australia
There are many fake goods in every country even the rich ones. I got one in Qatar, a pair of shoes. Haha. (Qatar GDP per capita is $82,887 higher than Singapore.)
Faked goods are illegal in Singapore but there are many branded goods inspired designs though
Bugis has changed a lot. It was the first market I went when I landed in Singapore. Great memories over the years.
They are not locals. They are foreigners working in Sg.

Hey! It has been haha. Hope you're well :)
is it true Singapore have a lot of strict rules and laws?
You can be fined for jaywalking in Singapore ... and the USA, a 'free' country.
@@GoodGood-vb8gm u can get fined for jaywalking in the usa... tho its usually not enforced ceppt when they need to make their monthly quota
In Philippines that hat is around 100 to 150 pesos only.
Definitely much cheaper in Philippines. Singapore last year was tied with New York for the most expensive Cities in the world!
david are there any good markets in Australia?
There are a lot of markets but not fake markets like Thailand or Philippines. Quite strict of the laws like Singapore

Singapore doesnt have much of a culture in bargaining. It's a take it or leave it kind of mindset.
