He actually is part of the top idol vocalist as far as technique goes (he'd be in a top 20 male vocalist), he sure could improve on his technique when he goes above G#4 because he loses his placement and tends to strain and push too much which isn't good for his vocal chords but he has a really good technique overall.

u can learn singing techniques, but having a beautiful tone voice is a GIFT
