    Hey
    This guy is amazing
Other TH-camrs always repeat the same steps over and over again
But this guy knows what he is doing
My pc now is super fast
    Thank you

Good news, it worked for me. I created a System Restore point prior to making changes so I wasn't too nervous, but after making the changes it took forever (about 10 mins) to reboot and I saw the message 'attempting repairs' during that boot up! After it was through the PC ran fine w/ noticeable increase in speed. Thanx.

Very nice job. I'm sure me and others, who use PC's as a DAW, would love to hear a tutorial for draining the last bit of performance from the computer when it is used only for audio. I've done all that has been recommended by most people but you had a few ideas that have not been mentioned by others in the audio world. Thanks

Delivery Optimization at 10:45 is quite interesting. I've been on the Internet since the mid 1990's and I didn't know about this feature. Sneaky Microsoft. Very sneaky.

I would love to know how to do this. I used to understand my computer very well until Windows 10 radically changed things. I spend too much time trying to learn it when I just want to be using it, but I can't ignore all the ways it has devolved and is forcing its own apps.

Good info! thanks! I Implemented most of these. I was shocked to see what was running in the background and taking my cpu cycles that i didn't know about! I boot probably four times faster now, and the first time I rebooted, it was so fast, I thought something went wrong, but it's great! Some of that stuff, I didn't even know could be safely removed (Like Cortana, which I can't even use, because I have no microphone!) Thank you and bless you! All good wishes.

    1. You can not upgrade to 64bit, it is always a reinstall !
    2. Office 64bit is usually only good to use, if you don´t use any addons - most addons are still only in 32bit

Ah mate. I had to go back and uncheck all those tips and tricks. My laptop all but shut down! Everything went ultra slow and wouldn’t load up!
Also do you realise that some folk do not have the same PC as yourself? Windows admin tools? My laptop has never heard of it. It also stopped accessing my wick and I couldn’t get a signal. I spent ages and ages. Next time (if I ever can afford it) when I get a brand new laptop - I’ll adjust settings as you state.

    • @SeleTraining

Yes, there are a million different configurations. These tips will work for most but I understand not everything will match all the time. It's also possible that some changes required updates that run in the background and can slow your computer down until it completes too.

i was very surprised at this guide and i thought at 3:40 you were going to make the mistake that many other "optimization guides" make telling people to enable their cpu cores, but in fact you are making sure that if anyone followed a different guide that they NOW have the right settings.
lots of very informative stuff in this video such as the recommendation of 64 bit apps etc. fantastic video!
this covers basically every major performance impact that can be had on your computer which is the whole idea. only other thing i could possibly recommend would take much longer in a video but to simply show what to selectively disable in the "Privacy" settings, and also "Background apps", not that the privacy one impacts performance a whole ton anyway

The best thing you can do if you have an older computer made for Windows 7, and you upgraded to Windows 10 is to ADD RAM! If you just have 4MB RAM, then 4 - 8 MB of additional RAM is needed for Windows 10. TIP: You get the best functionality out of your RAM with two of the same Chips and it's cheaper. Ex: Two RAM chips with 8MB work better than a single 16MB RAM chip or a 4MB RAM + 8MB RAM.. In systems with 4 slots of RAM, you want to use slots 1 and 3 for two chips.
