My purpose is to find the identical background colors in a row not in columns while each the row has over 20 fields. And each cell's background color depends on its value (GREEN if meets the conditional formatting criteria). I can make this work if there is a way to get the dynamic color codes (GREEN) in other cells not exactly Right to each colored cells. Is there any way to get the color reference codes in another location not just next to the cell/s in question?
If you need to get the cell count with color in multiple sheets, you will need to create the formula in each of the sheets that you need the count. Hope this helps
Is the Helper column not updating or the count column not getting updated automatically? Could you please check the Cell formats where we have the formulas - they should be set to "General" or "Number". Also could you check if there are any errors noted at the bottom left of the sheet - just below the Sheet Name - sometimes we have an error in the formula and forget to check the warnings/ errors.

@@ExcelTipsVideos I face the same problem. The formula CountCell is not dynamnic. Office 365 Version 2108. Format of cells is general and Calculation option is set to Automatic.
Can you let me know the excel version that you are using? I will try and research if there are any Excel version-specific issues. Also do remember to save the file as Macro enabled for the GET.CELL method to work.

This worked for me but it doesnt change automatically even when i set as automatic
does not seem to work on cells that are colored but blank or cells with no numbers

Filter by color seems to work in columns but not in rows. I don't understand that.
Are you trying the SubTotal or the Get Cell method? The SubTotal Method requires a Filter on the columns - so might not work in Rows

Mine doesnt work (get.cell method). I follow the steps but when i write the CountCell function, it doesnt give me the color code
