  • Warwan Valley is a remote and picturesque valley located in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir, in the northern part of the India. It's known for its stunning natural beauty, lush green meadows, dense forests, and rugged terrain. The valley is less explored compared to other tourist destinations in Kashmir, which makes it appealing to those seeking a more off-the-beaten-path experience.
Here are some key points about Warwan Valley:
    1. *Accessibility*: Warwan Valley is relatively isolated and can be challenging to access. The region is connected by a network of mountain roads, and travel may require a rugged vehicle or a trek. The best time to visit is during the summer months when the weather is more favorable. During the winter months, the roads are closed due to heavy snow, and the valley remains disconnected. Locals undertake a two day trek to go out of the valley. A helicopter service has also been started recently.
    2. *Scenery and Nature*: The valley is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes, including picturesque meadows, snow-capped peaks, and pristine rivers. It's an ideal destination for trekking, camping, and nature photography.
    3. *Culture and People*: The local population is primarily composed of various ethnic groups, including Gujjars and Bakarwals. The cultural practices and traditions in Warwan Valley reflect the unique heritage of these communities.
    4. *Electricity and Internet*: It is interesting to note that electricity has not reached the villages in the Warwan Valley. The local homes depend on solar panels to fulfil minimal needs. Internet does not work here.
    5. *Tourism*: Due to its remote location, Warwan Valley is not a crowded tourist destination yet, it attracts adventure seekers and those interested in exploring less commercialized areas of Kashmir.
Travelers considering a visit to Warwan Valley should plan carefully, keeping in mind the logistical challenges and the need for permits or local guidance.
Chuharnag Lake is a high-altitude lake in the Warwan Valley of Jammu and Kashmir, India, situated at around 3,600 meters (11,800 feet) above sea level.
“Chuhar” means four in Kashmiri, hence there are 4 lakes in the region.
The area known for its stunning natural beauty, with turquoise waters surrounded by snow-capped peaks and lush meadows.
It is accessible by a short trek from Margan top, it took us approximately an hour. It is a serene and less-visited destination, making it ideal for those seeking a remote and picturesque location.

Where is the music from ? Can you share it's link ?
It fits so perfectly with the lush green scenery. I now rue the many months I spent in Sonmarg, and yet never venturing out in far valleys of Kashmir. Beautifully shot, thank you.
