As the problem doesn't seem to just affect the german speaking room I'll write down my experience of this process in english as well. First of all: It works! And it works great! I had trouble with the steam cooker Miele dgc 5080 for a long time. First just some of the keys didn't work properly and in the end just one of the six selection keys worked fine. The others had no reaction at all. I followed the steps of Dimitrios closely but after removing the foil I started to get questions as to if everything was working as it should. My first problem: The black glue was mostly stuck on the cover and not on the foil, as it was in Dimitrios' case. I used acetone and a sponge to try to remove it but it seemed to be not as much glue as i had expected. The remaining black shiny surface was not glue as i suspected but simply another type of paint used by miele. So if you continue with an abrasive sponge for too long you will see scratches in the front of the cover when putting it back in place. Now to the more important parts: When i had the foil in my hands and i tried removing the thin black glue layer a white plastic foiling became visible below. As I removed the black glue I started realizing that not only I damaged the white foil below but as well one of the circuits and I instantly started to panic as I already stamped the project off as doomed. But then on closer inspection of Dimitrios' video i started seeing at the 11:11 mark that not only the circuit was nearly completely gone in his example but the white plastic foiling as well. So i tried removing the white plastic sheeting on one just button to see if it works. Using acetone it went away easily and it became transparent and most importantly - it worked! So i removed the glue surface on top of the other buttons using silicone remover and a plastic spatula and then I removed the white plastic foil below with acetone. In the end my circuit-foil looked like Dimitrios at the 11:11 mark. The only difference: As you can see in the video there is a connection coming from the plug that seems to be a bit bigger (5th from the bottom) and Dimitrios seems to has cut it off completetly. This is because the circuit runs in a grid pattern over most parts of the glue-side of the foil and it washes off with acetone. I was careful to not cut the connection completely but at the button areas i needed to remove them as otherwise cleaning is near impossible. But i can tell you removing them is not a problem. You can apparently just wash all away if you look at Dimitrios foil and it still works. So don't worry if you remove the white plastic and the circuit-like lines on the glue side. Also the trident shapes that mark the matrix area get transparent when the white foil is removed but they still work! When you cleaned the circuit-foil from glue and you removed the white foil and the beige circuit you're good to go. To attach the foil again i used black insulation tape for the edges and a piece of double sided tape just for the connection the the plug. By doing this it sticks to the cover better without building up another layer in places you don't want to add glue again and it helps with the assembly as it keeps the foil from unpasting again. All in all of you know how it is supposed to look like it is a quite easy fix and you can't do a lot of things wrong. Just keep in mind that Dimitrios background is white, which might alter the looks from what you're seeing. I hope this was helpful to some and i could answer possible arising questions. And thank you again Dimitrios for sharing your experience and your tips as it helps a lot! Sadly i never found another solution like yours so i am really thankful as this has saved me at least 130 Euros worth of costs!
Amazing, I bought a 8€ bottle of aceton and it took me about 30 min to implement the instructions of the video. The touch screen works again perfectly. Thanks for your advice .
Thanks a lot Dimitrios. I have several Miele 5000 series appliances. For the moment, just the vapor oven has failed. I am also trying to connect the appliances to the KNX system using the XGW3000 gateway, maybe you can help me out here also. Thanks
Thanks for answering! I am trying to get the info from the appliances through the gateway first and then I will investigate how to connect that with KNX. I think Busch&Jaeger Comfortpanel was able to do so. Using Miele app not too much info and details can be obteined from the Miele 5000 generation appliances. Thanks for your help!

Saved a 130€? Did you find the part for sale for 130€?
Thank you. This is very helpful as I know this is a common problem for these touch screen appiances.
Yes it is
Super, war sehr easy, hat einfach geklappt und alles funktioniert wieder. Vielen Dank.

Sehr gutes Video. Vielen dank 😊. Muss die Folie mit neuem Kleber wieder eingeklebt werden oder wie hält sie nun?
Thank you for the video. The method of cleaning and wiping the inner layer of the foil with touch buttons really works. :)
Danke für das Video
Welche Kleber muss wieder drauf?

Will try this soon! Thank you! So far just one touch area/button which doesn't work.
Thanks for your vidéo it solved my problem. It also avoid that my wife becomes crazy🤣

Funktioniert leider nicht
Aceton hat die leiterbahnen kaputt gemacht
Do you speak English, Dimitrios? Do you think you could make a video in English (and in landscape mode)?

Welchen Kleber nimmt man???
Mieserables Video! Viel zu lange und das Aufbringen des Klebers wird gar nicht gezeigt. DAUMEN UNTEN!
