- This week we went ahead and did a big brake upgrade to my 1978 Datsun 280Z. I meant to do SW12+, but I received a set of SW13 which are bigger pistons inside. These calipers are from a 95 4runner and are paired with a Datsun 300zx Non-turbo rotor.

Jackstands my brother, hate to see that jack let down or tip on ya.
This is true. I put too much faith in harbor freight but I have a jack stand now!
I’m having the same issue with the hub not going all the way it and is making the rotor rub on the caliper
Did you put on a 5mm spacer inside the rotor hub?
@@adrianmejia3302 yes I added the one z car depot offers
Hi mate, i live in Australia and the shipping $$ is stupid expensive for those spacers. Im wondering if you know the exact thickness so i can get someone to make them locally? Cheers
I bought 25mm spacers but if I could find any I’d go 20mm spacers. These are Jeep spacers if that helps.
@@adrianmejia3302 thanks 😊
Hello, I had the
Same problem, I bought the s12w and
They sent the s13w, I have a doubt if these brakes fit well and there is no problem.
They fit well but you have to have a more negative offset wheel and 16” wheel minimum
@@adrianmejia3302 do you used the same rotor spacer for s12w as for the s13w?
@@EdgarArellano-gl2ho it’s a 5mm spacer provided by silver mine motors
Did you use the same pads from the s13w or which ones did you use?
The kit I bought came with brake pads so they fit.
But quick research shows that the S12W brake pads fit with no issues
