That was the year Konami lost the ESPN license to 2K. They re-named their franchise from ESPN NBA 2Night to NBA Starting Five, and that game had the most generic menus/scoreboard you ever seen. But SF 2005 was better than Live/2K or any other basketball game back then. Shame it was released only in Japan. I got to play it and was amazed.
I didn't know that 2k3 had the pre-game intro lineup stuff. It's funny how 2k15 made a big deal about adding that to the game, when they had had it years before.

On defense he doesn't know how to stay on his man, you must press the shoulder button to make your man face the offensive player. The nba live games did this automatically, 2k started doing it automatically in 2k4. This was the main reason that the early live games were better than 2k , but in 2k5 that's when 2k got better than live and stayed better.

I have all of the 2k's except 2k4 and 2k5, that 24/7 mode that those 2 games had was my shit back in the day. 2k5 had the updaed 24/7 mode, the association similar to the mygm mode where u make all the decisions, if they can just package everything from 2k5, 2k7, 2k10, they'll make the perfect game.
I only played myteam on current gen and a little park. Have yet to play any other mode since the ps5 dropping but they did at least put effort into myteam.

I hope they step in and put 2k touches on the WWE game. I know a guy who worked for thq he said yukes doesn't let u see the product until like 3 weeks before release so there is no input or testing from the US. So I hope 2k intervenes and just makes it similar to the show but I do enjoy the game play that 13 and 14 had. Since 2k keep adding the euro league teams they should add the d league back in the game or get the wnba I do enjoy watching the women play.

Yea I agree the presentation on 2k6 was some of the best that was as good as NFL 2k5. There are things I really do miss from the old games. Hands down the 2k10 my player was easily the deepest with the Draft combine d league rookie summer league and the 2k insider giving you shit for your play.
side note: In every sim Jay Williams is legendary usually gets to 96 or 97.. Dajuan wagner is pretty solid too, can get him to about 95. parker tinsley and dickau not bad for pg options, usually get to mid 80s

The last FIFA Street didn't sell too well, mainly since it played just like FIFA 11 with street moves, I thought it was good street-simulation game. I never really got into the football games, I played the 1st one and the one with Chad Johnson on the cover. They could easily make a new NBA street but I guess since that NBA Jam reboot or that NFL Blitz didn't sell too well or arcade madden they don't want to make fake games again or something.

Yea, it wasn't as bad on the original xbox because the triggers were kinda stiff but on 360 it's too hard to shoot.

Great Memories, too bad Duke's, Jay Williams had that motorcycle accident he had a promising NBA career. Also, Tyson Chandler did alright for himself.

Played it on the xbox 360 but if you're on the original xbox and have the pound HD link HDMI setup you can play in widescreen on that as well in 720p.
