What is really sad though, is that the Greenbelt didn't last even 20 years in its original intended form, give or take a 1,000 acres on the periphery for easements and such. We don't want additional developers, we want the deal annulled. The "flawed" process was, in truth, a fraud process.

Who is it to blame them ? Immigration grew by 500000 in Ontario and housing only by 200000 and municipalities are holding up new builds . Peel and surrounding areas are filled , where are going to build to accommodate immigrants and first-time buyers as Trudeau has caused this and has said as responsibilities goes it's not the federal governments . Did he not campaign on that ?

All those Ontario voters that didn't show up at the polls last October has brought this on us as well as Ford.

This is hardly the first time a politician has used this excuse, and I always get stuck on one thing. If you really want me to believe you had no clue what this person was doing and weren't involved at all, fine, say I believe you. Then I won't say you should leave office for corruption. But I will say you should leave office for incompetence and not doing your job by having no involvement in something so important. If all this was happening and you genuinely didn't notice, where the heck were you? And what else has gone on that you didn't notice? This is not an effective excuse to hold on to your power.

We live in Windsor. My 20 something sons, both in trades, can't find or afford an apartment or a house.

Everyone seems to forget that this land is private property not government land, Liberals in 2005 decided that it would be a good idea to declare this land a Greenbelt and will not be developed which made this land worthless, most of this private land was in the hands of developers at that time. Liberals did under Wynn did open sections of the Greenbelt for development, she has said this but it was only small pieces. You have to wonder why the naysayers keep say that the got 8 billion dollars insinuating that government gave this money to developers
I want to thank the developer for his input. First the libs gave up 350 a , to dougs 7500 a . The developer bought that worthless land as you call it.and the government didn't write a check for 8.3 billion .but that's a ton of profit.
For everyone suffering Greenbelt hysterics over Ford, couple questions to think about. After land swap, will Greenbelt be smaller? No it will be bigger since more acres are being added than removed. Is this the first time land has been removed from Greenbelt? No, Wynne did it at least 17 times.
