And suddenly jumped into the peaceful and slow pace life in America. I've been through many frustrated, negative thoughts and homesick etc. Still will come out sometimes now. I don't have a full-time job -- only part-time -- and making ends meet. It's tough and sometimes I wonder how long I can stay strong during these challenging times - especially away from home - from my family back in Canada. Right now I am living in Japan by myself - it hasn't been easy and a lot of time I wanna give up. But what you shared here in this video of yours gave me a sense of encouraging & words of wisdom too. I think one of the reasons so many people followed you since your entertainment debut is because you've always been genuine and relatable. I remember reading an article about how when you first became an actress and moved to Hong Kong, you suffered from insomnia due to stress. As someone who suffers from chronic insomnia, hearing that ones of my idols experienced the same thing but conquered it and grew from it really made me feel like I wasn't alone in this world. I'm so happy that you've found your happiness in simplicity.
I still have insomnia once in a while. I think its maybe in my genes. However, I've learned to not let it affect me as much. There are days I do get stressed if I don't well. However, I do manage it much better. I don't let it get to me as much. And just enjoy rest when I can.
Linda, so good to hear you are appreciating your moments with your family. I lost my daddy to Covid and have was unable to fly back to them at the time. Know how it feels to be away if you are a family person. Many regrets on my side for moving so far whilst they were growing old. Life can be short and fragile. You didn't lose yourself. You are just having some negative thoughts that have stayed with you for a longer time. You have the choice to install positive thoughts in you. It will take some time to reprogram. One step, one day at a time. You can do it! You are gifted with a child. How precious that is. You are capable otherwise God wouldn't gift you with your child. Believe in yourself. God does. I do believe in you too. Remember to breath.

Thank you for sharing your experience...I am new mom with a 2 year old and I lost myself just taking care of my toddler. I learned from you that it takes time on adapting a new role. Don't be so harsh to myself and just take it one day at a time. Thank you Linda!!!
You didn't lose yourself. You are just having some negative thoughts that have stayed with you for a longer time. You have the choice to install positive thoughts in you. It will take some time to reprogram. One step, one day at a time. You can do it! You are gifted with a child. How precious that is. You are capable otherwise God wouldn't gift you with your child. Believe in yourself. God does. I do believe in you too. Remember to breath.

Life must have been a culture shock going back. From actress/filming day to night/hectic HK life going back to a familiar quiet Vancouver to become a wife & mother. It’s good to see you pop back to HK here and there for projects, and haven’t completely retired/left the entertainment industry.
