I love your video. I'm getting ready to start studing ma on interior design and this video feels like im there and experiencing all those daily things with you. Pure and without any extra edits. Thank you
I’m so happy I found your channel I don’t know why im just now seeing it, I am interior design student at UL and going into my second year. I was going to LSU initially but found UL’s program more of my fitting. I look forward to more of your videos!
This video is so helpful and your personality is so beautiful. I'm currently studying Journalism and Mass Communication and I've realized I want to get into design. But i haven't figured out which one cause there are soooo many mediums for design.. But i was thinking either product design, architecture or interior design... your video has helped me consider interior design :33333 but also girl your skinnnn is glowinggggggg
Hi Tanaka. Just wanna said that it´s a pretty grat vlog, first cause on youtube, ( my point of view), are not that many students or people in general that share interior design how it actually is. So, as an other interior desinger that didn´t take the step to record it, just tell that im gratefull and enjoinning this video. Hope that soon we have an other vlog. Love and support from Spain.
I love this video! I am a high school student with a peaked interest in architecture/ interior design. I was wondering if you have any tips or advice for things i should learn about, plan, or any skills i should work on gaining in hopes of going to school for design? sorry for commenting on an old video 😅. Thank you :)
Hey! No need to apologize, I'm glad you commented regardless :) I would say just do your research on what the two programs offer and understand the differences between the two majors. Be prepared do to an extensive amount of work! It might vary depending on what institution you decide to attend, but generally architecture and interior design requires a lot of dedication and time to be successful within the program! Hope that helped a bit.
I have a fantastic question! Do you have to be good at drawing to be an interior designer? I love this field and I want to pursue it, but I'm not great at drawing. What's your advice? Thanks in advance for your response!
Hi! I’d say both yes and no. There’s always room to grow and improve your drawing skills within the program, so if that’s your only hesitation, don’t let it hold you back! In my experience, we focus on concept work, which may involve some sketching during the initial stages of the design process. However, these sketches don’t have to be perfect-that’s the beauty of conceptual work! as long as a person can get the gist of what your trying to communicate through it. While drawing isn’t an absolute must-have skill, it’s definitely recommended to work on it as it can be very helpful.
Hi Tanaka. Thank you for sharing this video. I wanted to ask, what laptop are you using for the course? And which one would you personally recommend? Brand, iOS or Microsoft, RAM space etc. Thank you💛
Hey!! You're welcome. I'm currently using a "GIGABYTE AERO 16" laptop, which runs on Windows. I recommend Microsoft/Windows over Apple because Android computers tend to offer more features and graphics card options than Apple. When it comes to specifications, a minimum of 16GB of RAM is ok, but 32GB is recommended. For the GPU (graphics card), there are several options available, but I have a GeForce RTX 3070 Ti, and my CPU is an Intel i7. Lastly, in terms of storage, 500GB is a minimum and I have 2TB storage and a portable drive for convenience. Here's a list of some recommended laptops, but you're not limited to them: 1. ASUS Zenbook 17 Pro 2. MSI Raider GE76 3. Microsoft Surface Studio Hope that helped a bit! Let me know if you have any other questions 🤍
Heyyy, Yes you do. You’ll either present little projects explaining your process and the end result. For example the painting I did, I briefly presented in front of my class. Then usually at the end of the year you’ll present your final projects. This semester I’ll be recording more to showcase the semester projects we have that lead into a formal presentation in front of professors and students! Hope that answers your question a bit.
