    What a spectacular trip! I love this back yard of ours! I'll certainly do this when I upgrade to the GSA next year. Can't wait to see the full version!

      Brett, you are right... our back yard is absolutely incredible... We have so much incredible adventure bike riding on our door step. Being able to discover mind-blowing scenes like the Lost City is just amazing.

    I'm looking at the area from a firies point of view. The fires would have been horrendous there and 12 months on the regrowth shows the fire must have gone through there hot and hard. It's still pretty interesting and spec though looks like a great place!

      @brentbat  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes Kay, you are right, pretty much everything in that area got badly burnt, but it's great to see it regrowing so well.

      Thanks TLM.... I've only recently started posting videos regularly... It's fun building the community. I've got some good ideas for future videos and a few video-based tutorials coming.

    Looks like an awesome place, excuse my ignorance but is this around Sydney Australia? We have a Sydney in Canada here, but that doesn’t look like the landscape here.
    I saw another one of your videos from Texas, but I don’t know if a Sydney there.

      Hi there, Yes, this video was shot about 90 min outside of Sydney, Australia. I do also spend a lot of my time in Austin, TX.

    Is riding through the tunnel legit? Looks a great experience.

    • @brentbat
      @brentbat  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there Dyloskbrod... yes, riding through the tunnel is not only legit... it's the road into a very popular and famous bush walk. So, totally legal and "encouraged".

    • @Dyloskbrod
      @Dyloskbrod 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brentbat Thanks Brent. I think I've finally clicked. The tunnel you photographed is, as you say, on the Glow Worm Tunnel Rd to get to the car park for what the Tourist lit calls the "Glow Worm Tunnel," which you have to walk to from the car park. Is this right? Looks great....except for what you euphemistically call "technical" hill-climbing! Yes, I know it's a legit and common tech term but I've always though of it as a euphemism for insanely difficult terrain.

    • @brentbat
      @brentbat  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Dyloskbrod Hey there, yes you are correct. The tunnel in the video is on the road to the car park where you park and then hike for 30min to get to the actual glowworm tunnel. I will hike it one of these days when I take walking shoes (not doing it in boots).
      As for the term technical hill climbing... I guess I use the term "technical" to mean any terrain that I wouldn't take a novice on. I don't consider myself an especially good rider, I'm pretty average. The hill climb I did was a bit tricky, but definitely not in the "insanely difficult" terrain. Although I guess they are all relative terms eh? What is insanely difficult for one rider might be a cakewalk for the other. The tunnel riding is definitely very cool, as is the road on both sides of it.

    Also if you want quality footage on TH-cam you should shoot in 2k or 4k and up load in 2k or 4k,for higher bit stream or footage looks washed out in 1080p upload ,youtube gives you higher bit stream on 2k resolution or higher uploads

    • @brentbat
      @brentbat  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey AME.
      Yes, I discovered that in my research after posting this... I didn't know that TH-cam had two different codecs...AVC1 for the masses and VP09 for it's "influencers" and VIPs. And I came across the trick of up-rezing my video to 2K+ resolution to force TH-cam to use VP09 Codec.
      You shooting GoPro or DJI actioncam?

    • @AdventureMotoEnduro
      @AdventureMotoEnduro 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@brentbat yeh I use DJI action and there drone still playing with setting but not to bad in auto mode mostly shoot in 4 k 30f dlink flat then add colour in resolve black magic editing program each clip but takes lots of time on long videos so auto mode is best at 6100k on camera internal colour setting

      @@AdventureMotoEnduro I checked out the video and saw what you mean. I went out on Tuesday and did a bunch of shooting. I shot at 30fps with ND on and auto shutter and was really happy with the results. Stabilisation was good and yet the image quality was excellent. Got just enough motion blur to soften the trees and dirt flying buy, but riders were sharp and stable. I think the problems arise if there is too much motion blur or you are slightly underexposed. Makes it too hard for Image Stabilisation algorithms to do their thing. I'll be posting my latest video this afternoon.

    Nice ride. Where about was that tunnel?

    • @brentbat
      @brentbat  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's on the Glowworm Tunnel Rd, easy dirt road that 2wd cars can get through. On this map it's just before the loopy road
