You're very inspiring. Started my treehouse course about a month ago and let me tell you, learning code has taken me out of my depression. I felt mentally dead and in the thickest fog for a while and now things are clearing up and feel really good. I watch basketball on my phone at work too lol. Keep the content coming. #futurefemaledev
Broo that's the literal state that my mind is in right now, I just feel depressed, empty Inside, can't think right because my thoughts are just clouded in a fog, its been like this for so long that it feels unfixable and permanent, I'm hoping that things could change for me like it did for you
@@chrislife1101 Creating things and adding value can bring us out of depression for a time, but really we must understand why we exist, and until we realize the truth of why, we will be depressed because life has no meaning if we just go through the motions or do things that are not necessary. I just stumbled across your page and honestly, your positive outlook and how much you love your career is so refreshing to see. I always talk to people about different things I wanna do in life and they put it down like “That’s going to be really hard” or “what if you hate it?” Things like that.. I’m not expecting it to be easy, I’m in fact expecting whatever I choose to do to be far from easy. It’s just honestly so nice to see someone who genuinely loves what they do. I’ve been looking a lot more into web development and I’m a complete n00b, but this has encouraged me even more to go for it. Thanks for this content, I subbed.
My advice: Keep your work life and home life separate if you have a relationship. It'll save your significant other some tears. I had a habit of overworking early on, but I squashed it to save my relationship. I think I'm much happier with that decision.
Been watching a few of your videos lately since I've been learning to code and I wanted to make sure this industry is right for me, and all except for the bringing work home (which isn't even too bad as long as it's not expected every single day and its just for my own education) sounds all like pros. Thank you for encouraging me to keep pursuing and learning to code!
Hey Chris just wanna let you know I’m 17 and got a developer job today at a company in my town. They are the biggest developer in the region and I just wanna let you know if you could share this message with other viewers that anything is possible if you try hard

As usual Chris, another set of great words for inspiration for those now learning how to code. Yes, this coding market today is very competitive, but once you stick with it, it will reap rewards in the end. Keep the videos coming and keep on coding.
I like your honestly and the fact that you got into the field with no degree and no experience. I'm kind of the same boat as you were. The difference is that I do have a College degree in Computer Science. I just graduated; however, I have no experience at all. My "skills" are HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, Ajax, Networking, Web Development in general. Anywhere I search for a job, even internships, people ask for some kind of experience. I have none. And honestly, the way I see my journey in College, and I don't know if there are people who share my thoughts, but I learned to pass with an A, no practice, just memorize what I needed to learn, and then move on to the next class. By the time you get to the next class(es), you've forgotten what you've learned just weeks ago because you need to get ready for the next class, and my habit in order to succeed in class, was to get ready way before the course started. Anyway, my point is that I ended up with a GPA of 3.95, and a College degree, but no experience and no job in the field, for now. I'm trying to refresh my mind by watching tutorials and trying to build something myself in the meantime, hopefully that works. But your history is very inspiring, and hopefully I can follow your path sometime soon.
You could say in your resume you spent xhours working on whatever the focus of your classes was. Even though that's not real job experience, it's still experience and time youve put into it; just about how you phrase it 😊
Maaaaannnnn I'm burning right now, i am super motivated now, i'm about to go to sleep right now after 21hrs of being awake working and studying programming then this video put me into a sage mode, I'm gonna code again now and i am going to use a pen and paper to make sure that i learned something.
