And with the subject matter it could have easily been from the 80's. So basically we've been dealing with the same BS for 40 freakin years. And yet Old Man Dave still rips
@@gnarle.coyote1914 - Have yall seen the footage of them on tour for this album, in late 1990? Dave had just gotten totally sober and he told the band members, noone could ever have any booze or drugs at any time on tour. No cigarettes either. They were touring with Slayer, Suicidal Tendencies and Testament. Awesome backstage stuff, and some great live performances. Also some warmp up/rehearsals of songs, and some are just amazing. If you haven't seen it, it's called "Megadeth: From The Vault". ( watch?v=xpyTLDMhQ98 ) There are like 9 Volumes (different places), about 2 hours each.
First lesson in listening to Hard Rock and Heavy Metal, which is, never pause during the guitar solo. *EVER.* That should be a *Golden rule!* 2, expect the unexpected. More Megadeth please. Holy wars is just a *TASTE* of their awesomeness. Also, be sure to give their frontman Dave Mustsine a shout out for winning his battle against throat cancer. He announced it in one of their shows, saying he is 100% cancer free. The crowd went wild over the happy news 😎
Peace Sells...And I'm buying. Bought and re-bought many Megadeth CD's. I was kinda careless with my CD's when I was younger, scratched the shit out of alot of them and had to re-buy them. Of course I don't listen to CD's much anymore, but I do like to own the physical copies, original LP's if possible.
Buddy the problem is that your voice is way lower than the music. The music is at a perfect level. Your intro is at a perfect level but you need to bring your commentary audio up in the mix much respect
Hey man, with all respect, the fight about which band is better between Megadeth and Metallica is not really a thing for anyone who appreciates music, comparing bands when someone is just starting to listen to some genre like metal makes no sense, just enjoy the diversity and stay curious! Greetings from Chile✌🏻
Agreed! It's different 4 old guys like me LOL that actually grew up during all the beef. I still have a chip on my shoulder against Metallica LMAO. I still love Metallica's work, only up until and justice for all. Can't stand anything after that
Lol, yea for many years, I was the guy that said "Well MD is more technical than Metallica so they are better."...Then I grew up and realized I love Metallica almost just as much as ME and they have amazing songs too. I have even probably listened to Metallica more in my life than MD anyway....even though I prefer MD...'Rust in Peace' and 'Peace Sells' are just unbeatable.
I play guitar, but don't really sing. I try to sing over a 3 chord Nirvana song and I can't seem to do it without screwing up....Dave is a master at singing while playing this amazing technical metal guitar. Some of his riffs and chord progressions are just sick.
@Tech death 666 bro, have you seen where Rolling Stone ranked this album it's like in the 30s, who does the ranking over there are they fucking idiots or what?👍
Give the whole album a listen bro. It has to be the original version though. Rust in Peace. FYI, the album came out in 1990, 2009 was the year it was uploaded to TH-cam.
The song was actually written in 1990 during the Persian Gulf war. It's just that the video was uploaded to TH-cam in 2009. And yes they're still together and still tour, just not as often because Dave has had a long run of throat problems.
The Dave Mustaine story is basically.. he was the original Metallica lead guitarist, they kicked him like right before they went in to the studio to record their first album because when he got drunk he would get very angry and violent. They picked up Kirk Hammett and he had only days to learn the songs before recording the Kill 'Em All album. Dave started Megadeth, and their first album has an original version of Metallica's Four Horsemen called The Mechanix. Same music different lyrics, Mechanix is about a car mechanic. Both are very good bands, but obviously Metallica made it a lot bigger than Megadeth. As far as musical talent, both are top tier metal bands. They are 2 of the "Big 4" of 80's thrash metal with Slayer and Anthrax.
Check out "Symphony of Destruction' live from Buenos Aires. You'll love the crowd. And yes, they're still around and touring. Their tour with Lamb of God got postponed till next year, but if you're interested, check out tickets. I think the shows closest to you are: JUL 17, 2021 PNC Music Pavilion Charlotte, NC JUL 18, 2021 Red Hat Amphitheater Raleigh, NC
I saw Megadeth in concert as recently as two years ago. I know that Dave has had a battle with throat cancer since then, but I am pretty sure he recovered, and has not given up on the band.
We had tickets to see them June12 in DC. THey postponed until next year, Their drummer passed 2 years ago RIP. Nick Menza, That's Dave Mustaine last out of the plane.
Bro - You are the man. Love watching you see this stuff for the first time. Tornado of Souls on the same album as this song the greatest metal solo IMO
Saw them perform back in the day, and yes Megadeth always comes in hard. I miss Marty Friedman but Kiko now is there lead guitarist is really good. I still listen to them to this day.
When it comes to heavy metal music rules regarding how to write a song Megadeth re-writes them because they can! This is the band since I started going to shows in the mid 90s that I've seen the most. Any time they're in my area I see them no questions asked. I walk out of those shows with my mind blown ever single time. The metal gymnastics and various ways they can take a song starting one way and finish it another are second to none!
They still doing it. New drummer and lead guitarist but they were due to release their 16th studio album in 2019 but Dave got cancer. He beat cancer just in time to have half a warm up tour before Covid shut it down. Soon as it's clear, there'll be new Megadeth.
This song came out in 1990 .. Just before Gulf War I .. If you think it is relevant to today (and it certainly is) .. Check out "Foreclosure of a Dream" (1992) .. And "Lying in State" (2016) .. Swaggy, you’re going to have to ROCK! Eat a good breakfast, exercise, meditate and then jump up! Get drunk! And play the hardest music you have! Run through walls!! Eat nails and shit battleships! Snap to soldier!! Drop and give me twenty!! Aahhhhh......!!!
Hey my man, I know you like reacting to the live stuff so you need to react to Megadeth’s Symphony of Destruction - That one night in Buenos Aries video.....The crowd is jumping and the South American fans have a knack for chanting the rhythm guitar parts. It’s awesome
Hey ,Man..I love your reaction..I remember When I was 13 years old and I did not know nothing about the lyrics, well ,because I am from Chile-Soutamerica..we speak only in spanish..,but the powerfull, the sounds, it helped me in my inglish classes..I am 49 years old..and I am the only one who enjoy of this type music inside my family.. thanks a lot..and ¡keep it up!! I am sorry for my bad inglish..I hope that you understand me..🤘🎼🎸🤘🤘
song actually from 1990 and singer/guitarist Dave was original lead guitarist of Metallica but they kicked him out by the time they completed a road trip from CA to NJ to record debut album
Take note Swaggy, part of the song name is, The PUNISHMENT Due. Listening to this song first thing in the morning adds important vitamins and minerals for a nutritional b-fast. Dave is the orange-haired guy, Marty Friedman is the other electric guitarist.
The song is actually 30 years old! Came out in 1990 . It still is a helluva song and kicks ass just like it did when I heard for the first time back then. More Megadeath definitely needs to included on your list: a few song suggestion would be “Hangar 18”, “Sweating Bullets”(one of my favorites but not everyone’s), and “ skinO’ my teeth” Great reactions by the way- very authentic. Dave was in Metallica, he did most of the guitar work on their first album, was kicked out for kicking James Hetfields dog. So Dave formed Megadeth and the rivalry began. Lololololol!!!!

Swaggy, really megadeth nailed it in 15 secs for a song of 6 mins. Really crazy....you caught it, bro...bro...bro
This was 1990, not 2009. Your voice commentary is too low, but the music is perfect. Not sure why that is.
