Hey Joe, love this angle here! As far as your monitors go, are you listening to the track and playing over it or are you listening and playing to a click and the rest of the band?
click and rest of band. we all hear each other in our in ear monitors. but you cannot hear any of that here. all you are hearing are the drums coming out of the monitors behind me, and then the PA "front of house" mix which is coming out of the big speakers facing the crowd which are several meters in front of me and each band member. 2 separate sound sources very far away from one another and thats the reasons it sounds a bit loose / mushy. it is not.
I feel like there’s a lot of dragging behind rhythmically, either from the drums or the rest of the band, should go for a click. Though greatly entertaining style of playing visually, I love that.
you are hearing the PA which is facing the opposite direction and probably 6 meters in front of the camera. the band is behind the PA. we are playing to a click. out front it sounds normal.
@@joeletzparty could be that! I haven’t had this impression when listening to the full show recorded from the crowd. I would love to see more of this, makes waiting for the postponed EU shows more bearable. :D
