My teacher you have said that the compressor is considered good if the value exceeds 500 mega ohms or more while searching for body short. What is the idea here?

It means then the compressor will considered good to be used, as its winding has enough juice to work further but if the resistance value of a comrpessor decreases more than that number it will considered bad.

And when no value is shown on the multimeter when you test the body short of the compressor, then as well the compressor is considered good.
