@Hope Stillings I'm not sure why I can't reply to your comment, but the steps I do in inkscape are the same steps for Design Space. I will upload one that shows Design Space only.
I downloaded the samantha font but I don't see all the options in letters that you have on babelmap. Please help I bought the $17 one was I suppose to buy the $55 one?

@Anahi, not sure why I can't reply to your question. You can copy and paste from the character map directly into your text line in Design Space. No need for Inkscape.

is there another program you could use with this instead of inkscape, that I could use for design space that's free? I'm not very good with inkscape I've tried using it but I don't have the patience for it
How can you tell if other fonts(not Samantha) have swirls or other fancy things....can you tell by looking at the font or by loooking thru the fonts on babelmap?
Could you post a video using this in Design Space page I have tried tons of times and it is not working . Please show us in Design Space not inkscape.
I downloaded this and its not working right, I click on one thing, it shows up correctly in the bottom, I copy and when I paste into design space its the totally wrong thing, or I get a black diamond with a question mark, any ideas? Thank you

why when I try to use my babel map with samantha font I keep getting squares instead of letter. It was working yesterday but not anymore. can y ou help?

How did you save it (what type of file?) and upload it in to Design Space?
I saved mine as a plain svg and when I go to open it in DS I get unsupported SVG itiems will be dropped... thank you
Don't know why, when I try to scroll the Select Unicode box changes from Private use area to something else. I can only move up and down with the points at the top and bottom of scroll bar?

I found out why...It stays on Private Use for the text that you are using, the rest doesn't matter. Hope this helps.
Yes, and when fonts are coded with a so called PUA Unicode, it will allow you to have full access to all the
extra characters without having special designing software. More and more font designers are using the PUA Unicode as not all of us do have Photoshop CS or Illustrator. With a PUA Unicode font you don't use those. So you will be able to use them in Word etc. And that is when Babelmap or the Windows Character font or Font Book for Mac users are really great!!!

i downloaded this however it isn't showing all my fonts ;( I bought the cimonchi font and it is not in the list

I got a notification from McAfee that this was malicious software. I'm afraid to install it. Did anyone else get this?
+Laura Breyman I didn't but then again, I don't have McAfee, I have Norton, I believe. This is the first that someone has brought this to my attention, with many who have already downloaded Babelmap. It may be that McAfee doesn't recognize it and it is also a site based in the UK. It's up to you if you want to proceed with the download, but I'm sure you will be fine if you are downloading the correct link according to your computer specs.
Window Defender flagged Bable saying it had a Trojan Virus. I'm bummed! I did install and was using it. I have since deleted it.
+Jennifer Me How did you uninstall it? I can't find it in the control panel - uninstall programs. I had already installed it. 🙁
When I scanned my computer, it found it and asked me if I wanted to delete it. I find it funny, though, that so many people use it and haven't had problems. I am wondering if I downloaded a different version or from a different site.
I just got a new computer and installed on that one without my antivirus flagging it. I haven't had any issues.
