Very cool! Hey my radio club out of NW Ohio is starting to get on 1.2ghz. I know that is more entry level, but we are looking to expand into the higher microwave bands. For the area do you have any recommendations for what would be the next band to try to get on? We are in the planning phase pretty much so looking for what would be worth our effort.

@k8ktoamateurradio671 great to hear from you. I love 1296 as well, but because of my situation I'm limited to operating portable as of late. If you're looking at activity level during VHF contests, definately there's a huge group of 10GHz ops out there and each QSO is worth 8 points in January and 4 points in June and September VHF. You can also get in on the action during the 222 and up as well as the 10GHz and up contests in August and September. To me, that's money well spent. If you're still looking to add bands, get 902 then 2304MHz. Lastly, 3400 and 5760. It's unfortunate those bands get the least amount of attention, they are still a lot of fun and every band offers its own challenge
