The Best Kept Secret in Jaipur! 🇮🇳 India

  • Today we discovred a rarely visited place in Jaipur called Gaitore Ki Chhatriyan. In the past it was the Royal crematorium for the Maharajas & rajas (kings) of the Jaipur region hundreds of years ago. The best part, very few people know about this place or visit it, but we loved it! And hope you'll enjoy the journey too. Ram Ram!

This is so beautiful! How could the moguls and British even think they can civilize the Hindus after seeing their out-of-this-world architecture? The Hindus were way more advanced than any other culture in history but too peaceful for own good. Long live Sanatan Dharma!

Civilizing Hindus was an excuse. It was used to fool their people back home.

Don't get too ahead of yourself there. This was built in 18th century. So 800 years of islamic influence in the neighborhood must have had a say or two indirectly in this particular structure's craftsmanship. Maybe they were inspired by the famous mausoleums of the mughals built centuries prior, of which i can name a few.
