I was thinking the same exact thing 13 minutes yep that's about the longest. Time you're going to get his attention before he starts going off on something now I would find it so amusing and I would just sit there for like hours maybe days observing him and there's a movie that came out last year I think about a fan that has like his whole life is surrounded around his love for Nick Cage is Obsession for him. And in the movie Nick Cage plays himself and he goes finally to visit this fanatic. I can't remember the name of it but it's definitely different movie but then again so is he. God bless his heart

The problem is when directors don't know how to handle his acting, when they just let him go the extra mile for a character that doesn't need it. He can be quiet, subtle and calm, but the director has to give the actor directions. It's the same for other actors known for very powerful, passionate styles that just dominate every scene.

Such a monolithic actor, probably my favorite of all time. I love that he can do it all, from the meaty Oscar-worthy performances in Leaving Las Vegas, Adaptation, or Pig, to the action star in The Rock, Con Air, or National Treasure, to the "cage rage" freakouts in Vampire's Kiss, Bad Lieutenant, or Mandy, and even the tender heartwarming roles of Moonstruck, Guarding Tess, and The Weather Man. The man just does it all effortlessly.

His role in lord of war couldn't have been done better. The characters impulsive behavior matched his own character so well it couldn't have been done better. His character never thinks to much He just gets it done by any means necessary pushing things over and over. And in the end when it all comes crashing down he's saved by the fact of who he is and the risks he's willing to take. In the movie he's saved by the fact the government needs a risk taker that can do things they can't be seen doing.
