  • In this episode we do a couple of 0-60 and 1/4 mile and measure them both using Torque app with OBD2 dongle and Dragy. We then compare the result to see how much difference there are between the readings

a good few years ago torque pro said my then car did 0-60mph in 3.2 seconds...
It was a completely stock 2002 Renault Clio 1.2 8v Authentique with a whopping 59 bhp, torque pro accuracy is questionable at best

Thanks for the comparison! And sorry, couldn’t help myself:
Jean Girard : [has Ricky in an arm lock] I will let you go, Ricky. But first, I want you to say..."I... love... crepes."
Cal Naughton, Jr. : Don't you say it, Ricky. These colors don't run.

Great vid 👌 I got the Torque App with an ELM OBDII Adaptor but on 0-60 I'm getting like 8.6 and 9.2 sec. It's the same car as you guys (S3) and feels around 4.6/7! Is there anything I might be doin wrong with the app do you know? Cheers guys!

Not too sure, to be honest I've only used the applications few times but since I've got the Dragy device I use that for all my performance tests. Unless it's an adaptor thing. I wouldn't be surprise if it does even better than 4.6s, German cars tend do perform better than their claim stock times.

Doesn't the Torque App use the data from the car, and not from GPS like Dragy? Because I can look at the Torque app with GPS on my Phone turned off and it still works.

Yes it uses data provided by the ECU not the GPS data.

I can’t find torque in the iPhone App Store. Was it removed?

Maybe, still on Android App Store but cannot find on the Apple one either.

Iphone has obd fusion. Better than torque in some aspects.

So pairing a garmin glo with torque pro will be just as accurate or more accurate then a dragy?? That's nice to know

Don't have any so never tested the combo. We always use draggy as pretty reliable so far even compared with Santa Pod recorded passes.

Nothing is more accurate than Dragy
