I’m always amazed during those fast moving multiple rescues at how the team members can remember the details of each individual patient’s entanglement. Remembering where the tag is on one seal after helping so many others in such a frenzied situation is a talent that is so beneficial to their patients 🦭🌊💙

QUESTION: Have you guys ever caught a seal with something stuck around there fins or tails? Or just their heads and bodies? Keep up the amazing work!! Thanks again for sharing!! 😊😊
Entanglements from long tangled lines around the neck/torso have also been found around flippers. These ones can bury deep into the skin as the seal moves. A loop getting caught just on the front or back flippers would most likely fall off immediately due to the torpedo shape of the seal. It is that shape which makes the entanglements we see in the videos so common.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, You guys have eyes like a hawk! All I can see is a tsunami of seals with their heads bobbing up and down. Thanks for saving them.

@V.I.C. The hook was stuck in the seal´s mouth/lip.
From memory, we only have caught four with their hind flippers entangled.
