excellent advice. i've been using your nested folders idea since you uploaded that video. mixed four songs with it and it's proved to be very helpful. i have to do almost everything you mentioned in this video, but maybe not in such an organised way! having a checklist would help i think, so i'm going to try that. keep em coming, fella!

Super useful video! Two questions.
1) On average (or a rough span), how much time does mix prep take for a song?
2) On average (or a rough span), how many % of the mixing time is mix prep?

1) It's hard to give an average. It can be as quick as 30 minutes a song if it's just routing tracks but it can take hours if I have to tune vocals, edit drums, etc.
2) the mix prep is usually more than half of the time... when everything is prepped well a first mix can come together quite quick
